For The First Time

She's all laid up in bed with a broken heart

Dennise couldnt help but cry the moment she remembered the argument she had with Alyssa just a few hours ago. It wasnt like their previous argument wherein they would just give each other cold treatments and then eventually  get back together after a series of sweet talks and some hint of chocolate coated wafers which is her all time favorite. In this case, misunderstanding would definitely be an understatement. This was the first time that both of them were lost for words.

Dennise knew it was over the moment the taller one entered their doorway with a companion. By companion, she meant another woman. It would have been better if she was just one of Alyssa's colleagues who just stopped by to have shelter from the heavily pouring rain. But she wasn't. The most painful part was when Alyssa didn't even bother to expalin herself.

While I'm drinking jack all alone in my local bar

"Ate Ly, that's enough." Bea who just got out from one of her class, ran her way to the address indicated in the message her senior sent her.

"Bea,  I didn't ask you to come over here just to lecture me. You're not my mom for Pete's sake! Umupo ka dyan any sabayan mo akong uminom at magpakalasing" and with that, Alyssa took another shot of the throat-burning liquor she was holding in her hand.

Bea's forehead creases because of the sight in front of her.

"Does Ate Dennise know about this??" Bea knew it was a wrong move but she was too late to even realize it.

She got no response from the drunk girl beside her, but rather she got another glimpse of one of her senior's hidden side. Alyssa was known to be the invincible yet humble type of person. You're considered lucky enough if you have witnessed the phenom's crying state, and right now BeaDel seemed to hit the jackpot.

"Fuck! Am i that worthless? Am i not worth it?  Am i not worthy of her trust? Gago ba ako para di niya paniwalaan? I may have committed a mistake before, but that was before!" Alyssa suddenly blurted out of the blue which caught the younger one's attention.

And we don't know how,
How we got into this mad situation,
Only doing things out of frustration

"What happened ba Ate Ly?" Curiosity was evident in Bea's voice.

"I brought a girl home" Alyssa effortlessly replied without even removing her gaze from the glass filled with ice.

"A girl? So Ate Den was jealous and that's why you're here. Am i right?"

"Wrong. The girl i brought home was no other than Laura." Alyssa let out a deep sigh after finally admitting it.

"Oh crap, you really are in deep shit here"

Who knew everything would just change in a span of 3 minutes. Just a few hours ago, Dennise was still being the sweetest lover, cooking for her lover and preparing her a relaxing bath. She doesn't usually do these things given her hectic schedule in the hospital she works for. In the middle of her tasks, Alyssa unexpectedly came home early, but she wasnt alone. With her was the woman who once stole Alyssa from Dennise. The woman who used to be one of her closest friend who turned out to be a traitor.

"Why are you here?" Dennise didnt wait for another minute. She demanded an answer.

"Hey, let me explain Dennise-" Alyssa started.

"Alyssa invited me to come over since she told me that she was living alone." Laura interrupted with a grin printed on her face.

"Hey! Sto-" Alyssa was trying to defend herself when Den suddenly dropped the bomb.

"When did this whole affair started? You know what Aly? Im tired. Im fucking tired so lets just end this bullshit." And with that Den to the room she once shared with her lover leaving Alyssa and the woman beside her dumbfounded.

Alyssa knew at that moment that she had to explain herself and make Den understand the situation, but Den's words pierced her heart. It suffocated her to the point that she couldnt even let out a simple 'sorry'. It was as if Den was telling that she was a cheater and that she doesnt deserve her trust at all just because of that one mistake she did in the past.

"I thought okay na kayo ni Den. NOW WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT LAURA?! STOP THIS SCHEME OF YOURS AND JUST LEAVE US ALONE!" Alyssa couldn't contain her emptions anymore, fortunately she was able to stop herself from slapping Laura.

"Cant you see it Alyssa? I love you! You belong with me and not with Dennise! Baby, come back to my arms" Laura started wrapping her arms around the taller one's waist.

"You psychotic bitch! Get the hell out!" Alyssa yelled while pointing the open door leading to the hallway.

Laura, feeling ashamed of her actions, didnt pursue and just left.

Knowing that Dennise needed space, Alyssa didnt even bother knocking on their bedroom door and decided to visit one of her usual hangouts.

"Pride and jealousy, not a very good combination. Tsk." Bea murmured.

Trying to make it work but man these times are hard

"Pagod na din ako Bea. Ilang taon ko na siyang sinusuyo. Ilang taon ko nang pinaghihirapan ibalik yung tiwala niya." Alyssa took another shot after explaining herself.

"Well, you can't blame ate Den. Baka nakakalimutan mo na she had a series of relationship with assholes who cheated on her and not a single one of them got another chance, consider yourself lucky enough."

"It's in our nature to commit mistakes and learn from them. That's enough reason for her to forgive me" Aly sighed.

"Better get a grip. I heard that Revilla is on his way to steal you lover away from you" Bea warned the woman beside her.

"As if I'd let him. Psh"

"Then get your ass out of here and start explaining to your wife. Believe me, she deserves it" The younger one said as she took a hold of Alyssa's glass, trying to pull it away from her.

She needs me now but I can't seem to find the time

"It seems like i have fallen deeply in love with a girl for the first time"
