The Writer (Second)

Days passed by but there was still no sign of Alyssa. Dennise would send her messages from time to time yet she doesn't get any reply.

When Den had enough of the cold treatment, she decided to confront Alyssa. Inabangan niya si Alyssa sa tapat ng room to make sure na hindi siya makakawala sa kanya.

Finally her class ended. Students were leaving the room one by one and Den had to make sure na hindi makakatakas si Alyssa.

The moment Alyssa stepped out of her class, Dennise took a hold of her hand and dragged her towards the library.

"What's wrong with you? Bat hindi mo na ako kinakausap? Why the fuck are you even ignoring me in the first place?!" Den hissed when they arrived at the secluded area of the library. She demanded for answers but Alyssa, without second thoughts, didn't even bother explaining her self.

"Alyssa Caymo Valdez, I am talking to you!" Den furiously said as she forcefully tugged Alyssa's sleeves.

"Miss Den-"

"How many times do i have to tell you to drop the formalities?!" The petite girl couldn't help herself and ended up pushing the taller one's back to one of the bookshelves.

"I'm pretty sure i addressed you correctly, after all sabi nga hindi mo ko kilala so basically stranger ako sa paningin mo, hindi kaibigan o kung ano pa man" Alyssa, after regretting what was said, looked away from Den's gaze. Ayaw niya sanang sabihin kay Den but she was too late. She didnt want Dennise to feel any guilt but Alyssa's words tell her otherwise.

"Ly, i-im sorry" utal na sabi Den. Alyssa grabbed her hair in frustration and mentally cursed herself.

"That's the reason why i have been avoiding you! I wanted to ask you why you denied me in front your cousin but knowing that you'll act this way, i'd rather keep it to myself. Ayokong masaktan at ayokong makonsensya ka. In the end Den, whether you have a convincing reason or not, I'd still choose to believe your words. Damn!" Alyssa said as she grasped Dennise's shoulders, shaking the smaller one.

Dennise reached out her hand, touching Alyssa's cheek. "Then hear me out"

They both decided to talk outside of their campus, away from the stares of the students.

"So narinig mo pala yung usapan namin ni Laura? Im sorry you ended up hearing those hurtful words. I hope you understand the fact that i had to do it. Masakit din para sa akin yun Alyssa. I had to blurt out lies, not for the sake of my image but for your own safety!" Dennise confessed.

"Akala ko ikinakahiya mo na ako"

"Why on earth would i even do that to the person i love?"

"W-what?"

"You heard it right, i love you ms valdez and yes this is a confession. Nauna na ako kasi kung hihintayin pa kita, nako baka di pa maging tayo!" Den blurted out while trying to stop herself from laughing.

Alyssa couldn't help but blush.

"But miss Den"

"Hm?"

"What makes you think na magiging tayo after your confession? Pano pala kung di kita mahal?" Alyssa discretely joked.

"Hoy! Subukan mo lang! Nako Alyssa ha!" Den stood up from where she was sitting in disbelief.

"Asar talo ang girlfriend ko ah?" Alyssa then pulled Den's hand and made her sit on her lap.

"I love you Dennise." Alyssa whispered.

It wasn't long enough before the rumor started spreading and couple did not even bother dwelling on it.

"What if they start asking you about us? Baka masira image mo Den. Ayoko naman na mangyari yun" Alyssa said while pacing back and forth in front of the confused Dennise.
