Ok but enough of my talking lets get to the story

(Lucas pov) *EDITED*
I don't want to leave was my thought as I looked at all of their sad faces. It wasn't my choice for all of this to happen but I have to go see pappy Joe, he is sick and only getting sicker and the doctors say he might not make it. I have to go see him and help take care of him since there isn't many who have the time to help. I don't know if I'll ever come back but for now I'll just have to wait and see and be patient.
If I'm going to leave might as well say goodbye to everyone individually.
"Farkle don't forget that you will always be Farkle that's who you are don't let anyone change you or tell you that you're different'" I told him as i pulled him in for a quick hug.
"Goodbye Lucas, I will protect them always." said Farkle nodding towards
Riley and Maya.
"Thank you" I said as I turned and walked towards Riley.
"Riley never stop smiling" I said as I hugged a crying Riley it was sad that I wouldn't be able to see her again for quite a while, I'll miss that smile.
"Never forget us okay? Lucas promise me y-you w-won't f-forget us," said Riley starting to cry again.
"I promise." I said as I hugged her one last time before heading towards Maya.
"Well ranger rick I guess this is it," said Maya and I could see she had tears in her eyes I have never before actually seen her cry, she always seemed so strong, like she could handle anything.
"Yeah I guess it is short stack."I said and hugged her, I'm gonna miss her and her annoying nicknames that's for sure.
"Goodbye huckleberry," said Maya as a single tear ran down her cheek.
I wiped away the tear and I could almost swear I saw Maya blush just a little bit.
I went inside Mr. Matthews classroom for what would probably be the last time.
"Thank you for all the lessons Mr.Matthews," I said as I tried to memorize every detail of the classroom that I may never come back to.
"You are welcome Lucas well good luck and goodbye," said Mr.Mathews with a sadness in his voice that matched the sadness in his eyes as he gave me a smile.
Okay this was it, I had to leave or I would miss the plane.
I waved goodbye to my friends before heading out through the doors of John Quincy Adams middle school for the last time.
"Good bye," I whispered under my breath as I boarded the plane that was going to take me back to Texas and away from the place I was beginning to call home.
