Chapter 26

My head throbs harder than I've ever experienced. I open my eyes slightly as my ears start to adjust. I hear the sound of a beeping machine. I look beside me and see a two heartbeats on the machine. I smile slightly. I sit up and see many tubes hooked to my arms and stomach. I look around to see Robin sitting on the couch on the other end of the room.

He has his head in his hands and wiping his tears every other second.

"Robin?" I say as I hold myself up with my wobbling arms.

"Regina.." He says questioning until his eyes focus on my face. He jumps up from the couch and runs over by my side and he gets on his knees.

"Regina are you okay? Is the baby okay? Are you tired? You should get some rest," he says while wiping tears from his face.

"We are fine, honey," I say as I sit upright and lay my hand on my bump rubbing it. I use my other hand to wipe the tears off Robins face.

"How's Echo been since you woke up?" Robin asks me as he stands up and lays his hand on mine.

"She's been doing fine," I say as I realize I just said 'she'.

"Well,Regina, I think I you like it or not you're going to have to say 'she' starting today," Robin says as a smile spreads across his face and finishes," the doctor came in our room since we were late to the appointment and we were already here....we are having a girl."

My eyes start to swell with tears as I smile and slightly laugh as I cover my mouth with my hand. I look up at Robin and hug him tightly," Our little Echo."

"Yes, mi lady. Ours forever," Robin says as he kisses my head right when I feel something pound in my stomach.

"Ow!" I say as I look at Robin worried," She kicked."

Robins eyes lighten up in awe as I wrap my arms around his body when I realize this is real. But Nesoki can still get me.

"Nesoki! What about her? What did you do with her? She told me if it was a girl she would steal her from me," I ask Robin as I look at his scared as ever as I start to choke on my own tears.

"We locked her into the asylum so we can figure a way to get rid of her. She is never going to get to our little Echo."

I grab his hand and squeeze it when I hear the door open.

"Mom," I look to see my son, Henry, holding my other son, Roland's, hand.

He looks the same as he left and I love him just as much. Dang I hate these hormones.

"Henry," I say breathless as he runs up to me and hugs me tightly.

A tear falls down my face as he says," I love you."

I repeat back," I love you." As Roland jumps on the bed and hugs my stomach and says," I love both of you."

Robin and I laugh at Roland actions. I grab Roland and sit him beside me and hug him tightly.

Robin then says," Boys we should go and get your mom some food. She hasn't ate anything for a while now. Pickles right?"

I nod my head as I laugh quietly.

Robin, Henry, and Roland walk out of the room all at once when I watch Zelena,Cora, and Tink enter the room.

"Hey mate. Are you feeling okay?" Tink says with her accent.

"I'm good," I say smiling.

"Sis, mother has been freaking out ever since she heard about you being in the hospital," Zelena says as she touches my hand and looks over at Cora, our mother.

"Only what ever mother does. Speaking of that...how's he ..or she doing?" Mother asks me as she touches my stomach.

"She.....is fine. Her name is Echo now," I say as Cora smiles slightly.

"Strong. Beautiful. Just like her mother," Mother says as she strokes my cheek.

"Sis, Who is the godmother?"

"Well me and Robin have been thinking but we haven't decided...but I think I have your answer," I say as I cross my legs on the bed.

"Tink... Zelena... How's changing diapers sound?"

Cora looks back at Zelena and Tink as Tink pumps her fist in the air multiple times and then screeches silently. Zelena falls to the floor in shock and starts to tear up.

"Are- are you guys okay?" I ask as I feel a another kick with causes me to stutter.

Zelena wipes her eyes and lays her head on the edge of my bed when she asks," How could you trust me?"

I put my legs over the edge of the bed and pick up her chin lightly and say," How couldn't I? You're my big sis."

Zelena smiles and then we hear a big crash.

We look around the room until we see Tink in a widened eyed look towards the vase with flowers that just fell from her dancing all around the room.

"I don't know who did that?" Tink says as she fingers the broken vase and acts confused.

I laugh slightly until I feel another kick when I get back up onto the bed and lay down with one hand on my stomach.

"Regina, I think you need some rest. It's hard making humans....unless....do you know if Echo has magical powers? I mean it's fine if she doesn't but.." Cora asks as she walks over closer to me and feels my stomach.

"I really don't know yet," I say as I yawn.

"I think you should go to sleep. Nesoki is locked up and we are totally safe now. Sis, we need to schedule something for eachother. We need to catch up," Zelena says as she holds my hand.

Zelena and Cora start to head to the door when Tink runs up the me and asks me excitedly," How long are you?"

"4 and half months," I laugh at her excitement.

She winks at me and then runs out the door screaming," I'm going to be an aunt and a godmother!"

I laugh and roll over on my side as I place a pillow under my stomach. I start to drift asleep to the sound of the beeping heartbeat of me and Echo.
