Chapter 38

"What is this?" Rose jumps in excitement as she enters my house after visiting Zelenas.

"That is a wand. It is very dangerous. You can't touch it okay?" I say as I lift the wand and place it in my other hand.

Rose lowers her head as she hears my words leave my mouth. I look at the little girl as her curls drop on the sides of her face in sadness.

"Would you like to learn magic today?" I ask Rose as I emit a fireball from my hand and smile.

"Regina! What are you thinking?" Zelena says as she walks up behind Rose and lays her hands on her shoulders.

"I'll only teach her the easy spells. I have a special one in mind," I say as I put the fireball out and walk outside to find Robin and Henry shooting arrows.

"Regina, what are you doing out here?" Robin says as he puts away his arrow.

"I've only came to teach Rose a spell. I'm totally fine," I say grabbing Roland's hand as he runs out from the house.

I grab Roses hand with my open one and walk her towards the flower garden as Zelena follows.

"What are you doing Regina? Please be careful," Zelena says as I stumble slightly walking to the garden.

Rose lets go of my hand and runs towards the flowers as she starts to smell different ones. She picks up a daisy and runs over to Zelena to place it in her hair right behind her ear.

"There mommy....now you look even more beautiful," Rose says giggling as Zelena smiles and tickles her.

"Now Rose. Let me show you. You simply just have to place your hand over a part of the garden and think of a flower blooming under your fingertips. Picture the flower in your mind," I say as I wave my hand until a sunflower appears from the soil.

Rose giggles as she places her hand over the soil as a red rose appears under her fingertips. Her eyes fill with excitement as she looks over at Zelena then to me," I did it! I did it!"

"Looks like the little girl learned a few things," Robin says smiling as the girl smells the rose.

Robin comes up behind me and holds my stomach in his hands as Echo kicks harshly. I wince slightly as the pain but eases as he starts the rub my stomach.

"I think it's time for us to go inside," I say as I move away from Robin and lay my hand on my stomach.

Zelena picks up Rose and places her the red rose flower in Roses hair as she giggles. We all walk inside the house as Rose starts to get sleepy eyed.

Zelena lays Rose on the sofa chair as Roland is laid on the other beside hers. They both drift off asleep as Zelena and I stand over them and watch them.

"Regina?.....I never knew I'd change. I really didn't. Rose has changed me in a way that I can't go back wicked," Zelena says crossing her arms and looking at her daughters beautiful curls.

"Oh come on ,sis, there's no way you couldn't stop being wicked," I say playfully hitting her shoulder," but I do give it to you. Your children do change you."

"I never knew someone could want me so much. Let alone love me," Zelena says shrugging her shoulders huffing.

"Sis, You know I love you....I'm just your sister. I can't be nice all the time," I say laughing as she starts the laugh along.

"Regina?" I hear a voice say as a wave of forest smells come through the room.

"I'm here,Robin," I say walking over to Robin as Henry follows behind him.

"How's little Echo doing?" Robin says checking on her again for the hundredth time. Zelena thinks it's gross. But I find it quite adorable.

"She's kicking up a storm," I say laughing holding my stomach.

"You mean curse,sis," Zelena says laughing as I give her a glare when Henry laughs loudly as he ascends he staircase.

"Could---could I maybe----feel....the... Um-" Zelena stutters as she sits on the couch across from Roland and Rose.

"Feel the kick?" I ask questioningly rubbing my stomach as I sit beside Zelena.

Zelena nods as she looks over at me. I remove my hand and lean back as my stomach is more visible. I grab her hand and place it. We wait for seconds and then Echo kicks.

"How long are you anyways?" Zelena says searching for another kick.

"7 and a half months," I say smiling over at Robin.

I think about Echo instantly. She will be here soon.

"Shouldn't you be going to the doctor soon?" Zelena says as she looks from Robin to me.

"Dr. Whale told me that I wouldn't need to have any more appointments until the baby is born. I can't even do anything anymore," I say rubbing my stomach trying to stop Echo's kicking.

"Mommy?" Rose says as her eyes start to peek open," Is daddy here? Are we home?"

"No ,my sweet darling, we are just about to go home okay?" Zelena says picking up Rose.

"Mommy sure suits you doesn't it?" I say as I stand up from the couch and hug Zelena as she says her goodbyes.
