Chapter 33

I jump from Robins arms as we get to our house. I look up at the black and white looking house when I see a flash of light coming from Roland's bedroom. I look over at Robin with my scared face as I run up the stairs into the house. I run up the white staircase screaming," Roland!"

I hear Robin and Tink's feet hitting the stair just right behind me as they follow. I place my hand to the black door knob as it burns my hand. Robin comes over and tries to grab the door knob but fails as it burns our hand.

"What the hell is this? Why is it burning?" Tink asks in her Australian accent.

"Hades! Tink! Hades! He has fire!" I scream at Tink in frustration when I figure out how I just spoke.

Tinks eyes widen as she hears me speak but I then say," I'm so sorry Tink! I didn't mean to. It's just I don't want to lose someone else I love."

Tink nods in head in a understanding way as I nod back smiling.

I grab my coat and place it on the door knob as I try and open it without touching. Once I open the door I see Hades standing in the middle of the room with Roland sitting on the bed. Hades disappears in a blue flame as I walk closer. I run up to Roland when I see him stare at me in a confusing way," Who are you? Aren't you the mayor?" Roland's eyes get low as he sees me.

"Roland. It's me," I say as I ran both his knees in a squat.

"You're the mayor. Yes I know you.....Daddy!" Roland screams as he catches sight of Robin and runs up to him to embrace him in a hug.

I lay my head down on the bed as I hear Robin tell Roland to go with Tink out to Granny's for dinner.

I feel my cheek brush across the side of the bed sheet. Soft. Warm. I watch as the bed gets wet from my tears. I clinch my eyes shut just to hope this is all a dream. I will wake up and none of this ever happened. Henry still loves me and remember who I am. Roland calls me mommy. Echo is not in danger. But I will never have a normal day.

"Regina," Robin says as he sits beside me on the floor beside Roland's bed.

I turn around where I can lay my head on his shoulder as I lay my hand on my blue blouse," Why me?"

"Regina. We will and I mean we will get our sons back. You don't need to stress too much," Robin says as he wraps his arm around me as I lay on his chest.

Echo kicks as I grab Robins shirt in slight pain," I will never have a good day. Will I?"

"Dear...you will," Robin says as he looks at me and wipes my tears.

I move away from Robin and stand up from the floor as I start to get my balance again. Robin stands up behind me and grabs my hand trying to help me.

"I need to go to mother. I need to talk to her," I say as I feel a tear start to come on again.

"I will take you. I'm not letting you go out there on your own," Robin says as he picks me up bride style and carries me out the room down the stairs to the car.

He sets me in the passenger seat as I lay my head down on the door frame once the door closes.

Robin gets in the car and lays his hand on my stomach instantly. He keeps his hand there the whole time we drive to see mother. Through every kick, he jumps but then waits for another.

"Regina?"

"Yes," I say while slightly smiling.

"Do you ever think that since Echo has powers...will she be as powerful as you?" Robin asks as he smiles at me.

"If she isn't I will teach her ,but only when she is old enough," I say laughing as I grab Robins hand squeezing it.

"What if I'm not a good father? What if she doesn't like me?" Robin asks as he looks down the road as he drives in a sad way.

"She won't like us. She will love us. Robin.... You're going to be a great father. I know you will. You are already great to Henry and Roland," I say as I kiss him on the cheek.

He squeezes my hand once more just to put his hand back in the original spot.
