Ashton couldn't believe what he was hearing when Jacey asked him for "kissing lessons." He had hidden his innocent crush on her since the seventh grade. He loved her sassy but kind, adorable personality, her dark blonde hair, and her body that he deemed to be perfect. Surprisingly, none of the boys have told her yet. All of his discrete flirting had finally paid off when she had spoken those few words.
"But are you sure?" he asked for nearly the millionth time. "Would I have asked if I wasn't sure?" was Jacey's reply. "O-oh okay," Ashton stuttered as he blushed and looked down to his feet.
To kill the awkward silence, he spoke up "So what's the occasion?" She had dreaded telling him that she had a blind date in two days. Jacey was planning on getting to know a beautiful, tall brunette that her best friend, Paige, had set her up with the week before.
"Oh I just think it's important to know how," Jacey stated, seeming sure of herself.
Before she knew it, Ashton slowly began leaning in. Pure panic passed through Jacey's  mind. "Why am I so freaked out?" she wondered. Besides, Ashton was her best friend. It shouldn't be awkward between them. "You alright?" Ashton asked, appearing confused. She looked up at him, meeting his hazel eyes and affirmed, "yeah, yeah. I'm okay. Let's just get this over with as soon as possible." He started to lean in again. This time slower, keeping his eyes slightly open as if he was searching Jacey's perfectly sculptured face for any nervousness or distress. She looked happy and content with her decision, he thought. Ashton steadily closed the space in between them and pressed his rough lips against her rosy red, soft ones. He instantly smiled against her, feeling as if his life was officially complete. Jacey's heart was racing and the butterflies in her stomach were dancing it seemed. "I don't think you need to be taught," Ashton laughed as he broke the kiss, suddenly less nervous. "That was perfect," he continued. "Really?" she asked excitedly. "Yeah, Jacey. I'm serious."
With that, you two started discussing dinner ideas for that night. "PIZZA," Michael obnoxiously shouted as he skipped through the wide-open door. "But, mate, we have pizza nearly every day," the tower-like, blonde stated as a matter of factly. "BECAUSE ITS FUCKING AMAZING," Michael defended. "Hey! Don't swear," Ashton finally threw in. "Actually, instead of focusing on the fact that Michael swore, let's discuss what happened between Ashton and Jacey before Michael interrupted," Calum smirked.  "Uh, yeah, what?" Jacey asked, trying to act as if nothing had happened. "We aren't blind, guys. We saw the full kiss," Michael smirked. "That we did," Luke added.
"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP," Ashton yelled as he stomped childishly out of the room.
Besides, Ashton was her best friend.
Ashton.
Her best friend.
HER BEST FRIEND.
And she knew, in that exact moment, that she was screwed.
