Steve's P.O.V
Awkward
That is the only word to describe the dinner. No one's talking. Actually, Nat and T'Challa were the only ones enjoying.
T'Challa sat on the far end of the table with Nat in his right and Clint in the left. Wanda took the place between Nat and Sam. I sat beside Clint and Sharon on the other side.
"So Natasha," Sharon started to break the silence, "it's nice that you were in the airport when we arrived. Clint won't stop talking about you while we were in the plane."
"Really?" Natasha sounded amuse, "I've been telling him a long time ago to stop obsessing over me," she added that earned a few laughs from the group.
"That's a bad habit, bro." Sam teased.
"What can I say? Bad habits die hard." Clint quipped.
"Besides, we were up there for a long time." Natasha said before putting a spoonful in her mouth.
"We just waited for all of you to finish your hellos before we land," T'Challa explained.
After that, no one dared to talk anymore until the king himself invited us to go to the garden and enjoy the cold breeze outside.
We were walking along the garden and having a nice talk-a little less awkward than the dinner earlier.
Our conversation started from Clint spending less time with his family and went to what we are thankful about after everything that transpired.
"I thank Stark actually. If he hadn't went after you, then I wouldn't know that Barnes is innocent," T'Challa remarked.
Everyone nodded then looked at me.
"What about you, Captain? What or who are you thankful for after the government fiasco?" The king asked.
"I..." I was thinking what to say when my sight landed on the gaze of a certain blonde, "I'm thankful for Sharon."
She smiled wide eyed while I'm sure that the others were surprised.
"I mean, if she hadn't helped us and gave us our gears back then I wasn't able to save Bucky and his name wouldn't be cleared," I explained.
Maybe this is what people say, spur of the moment. I don't want to be rude to her. She deserves the credit.
Sam initiated the applause for the agent and the others followed. Sharon was smiling non-stop.
We continued our casual talk for a little longer until T'Challa excused himself. According to him, there are some things he need to attend to.

Wanda's P.O.V
After King T'Challa excused himself, everyone noticed that it's already late. Clint and Sam are yawning nonstop.
"I think we should call it a day." Natasha announced.
Everyone seem to agree with her. We bid good night to one another and went to our respective bedrooms. But before I sleep, I need to do one more thing.

I followed her all the way in to the kitchen. The mansion's maid seem to be asleep already, so there's no one around. She opened the fridge and took a pitcher of water. She must be thirsty. After placing the pitcher on the kitchen counter, she must've realized that something is missing.
I walked silently towards her, "Looking for this?" I said making my presence known. She must have been startled with the sudden intrusion but I kept a straight face while holding up a glass.
She recovered from shock and smiled, "Well, thank you." She said and reached for the drinking glass. She poured herself a water and drank.
"Anything I can help you with?" She asked with curiosity plastered all over her face.
"I see lies, Sharon." I said sternly while placing my arms across my chest.
"I don't follow." She answered then started to walk away.
I caught her arm and gripped it tight, "I know that you lied to Steve." I said as she managed to free herself from me. "You took the credit that you don't deserve," I continued.
She stared intently to me, probably killing me inside her head.
"Looking inside someone's head without their permission is bad." She reprimanded me.
"So is lying," I answered.
"Wanda, you're too young to meddle with these things." She said.
"Your government imprisoned me in the middle of an ocean and placed me in a tight strapped chair with an electroshock collar regardless of my age. I don't think my age can be an issue here." I said with my emotions getting the best of me.
She heaved a sigh and looked straight at me, "What do you want?"
"For you to tell Steve that it was really Natasha who retrieved their gears and she just asked you to bring it to them."
A smirk slowly formed on her face, "And if I don't?"
"Then I'll tell him myself," I said flatly and started walking away.
"Go ahead. Tell him. And I'll tell General Ross of your where abouts." She threatened me.
I faced her and saw her smirk. "Sometimes being a double agent has its own disadvantages" I said, and before she was able to react, a small ball of red energy hit her chest. It sent her all the way back, near the fridge, at least 10 steps from me.
"Do it and you'll receive much worse." I threatened her back. She just stared with so much disbelief at me.
