"Can I kiss you?"
The question brought tingles down Natasha's spine. She knows exactly what is happening. As much as she wants to say yes, something and someone is stopping her.
"Your girlfriend wouldn't be too happy to see this." She spoke in a rough voice, trying to pull away.
"She's not my girlfriend." Steve shook his head, his eyes turning south and his hands reaching for her hands.
"You're not the type who kiss and forget, Rogers." She smirked. It was uncomfortable talking to him about this but there was no stopping now.
"It's not what you think!" Steve tried to reason.
"I know how things happened down there. You did the first move. " Natasha huffed in exasperation. Steve dropped his gaze at her in disbelief, his grip was just too damn tight he could almost tore the sleeves of the cardigan she's wearing.
She pulled away completely and left Steve all alone. For Steve, what had happened was rejection. For Natasha, it was sacrifice.

Days passed with the both of them staying away from one another. The others noticed the two parties being distant but all decided to keep their mouths shut. Steve spend his time analyzing his best friend's journal while Natasha trained, day and night. Wanda knows what happened. She need no one to tell her and she feel so sad because the circumstances they are facing is the reason why the two can't act on their feelings.
"This can't be happening!" Sam complained while preparing snacks in the kitchen.
Clint looked at him then to Wanda, his eyes full of concern. "I know but what can we do about it. Besides, we don't know what exactly happened."
"I don't know about you, guys, but I know for a fact that their current situation should be the least of our concern." Wanda stated.
The two guys looked at her, studying her quizzically. "What exactly are you talking about?" Clint asked.
"Unknown to everyone, I talked to Sharon the night the two of you arrived and she sounded different." Wanda said while fiddling with her fingers.
"Explain different." A familiar voice asked.
The three of them looked surprised when they saw Natasha entering the kitchen. "Didn't know you were there?" Sam exclaimed.
"I'm a spy, Sam. I show up in places unexpectedly." Natasha scoffed then walked closer to Wanda.
Sam murmured to the Scarlet Witch, "I'll never get used to this spy things," but Wanda disregarded him.
"I'm asking you, Wanda. What different?" The Widow asked intimidatingly.
"I-i...," Wanda stuttered. She can't say it out loud. She thought of a way to send the message to Natasha. Times like these, she's thankful to have supernatural ablities.
Natasha felt something eerie in her head. She noticed Wanda's eyes glowing with red.
This is her telling the story, the Widow thought.
Merely seconds after the red glow faded in her eyes, Nat's head is flooded with memories. Memories that aren't hers but someone else's. Moments later, she's looking at Sharon Carter as if it's her point of view.
Clint and Sam simply watched. They both know it's not a good thing to meddle with the these kind of things.
The red glow in Wanda's eyes faded and she fell slowly until Sam caught her. Natasha tasked the two men to assist Wanda then left the kitchen in a hurry.
"What are you feeling?" Clint asked while getting a glass of water. Sam helped Wanda up on her feet.
"Drained," Wanda trying to stand up on her own, "that's what I feel."
Clint gave the water to her and the two guys helped her walk to her room. Sam advised Wanda to take a rest.
