As the sun rose above National City, I felt a sense of peace overcome me. I was ready for Beacon Hills, I was ready for a new start. I got all my stuff and headed towards the door, I was going to bring all my belongings to work so can go straight from there, I was heading out extra early so I can drop my things off first and then go and get Ms. Hales coffee. As I was about to walk out the door I spotted my red blanket. Almost forgot it, didn't know what I'd do with out it!!!

Just as I was quickly rushing back out of Hale Media Corp-after locking all my stuff in one of the downstair security lockers and now running out to get Ms. Hales coffee - that I heard the low rumbling of storm clouds. I looked up and was greeted with rain, bucketing down on me. What a good way to start the day I thought sarcastically, running through the rain towards the coffee shop.

Once I arrived back at the office from getting Ms. Hales morning coffee, I was absolutely soaked through! I took of my jacket hanging it over the back of my chair to dry as the elevator door opened revealing the one and only Thalia Hale also known as to more common people Ms. Hale, most powerful woman in National City.

I set her coffee and croissant on her table and turned to leave. She was unusually quiet today, no complaints, no smart comments, nothing! But when I got to organising the cab fairs, that's when she had to call me for something.
'Yes, Ms. Hale? What do you need?' I asked politely.
'Oh, I don't need anything that I can't get on my own, but I wanted to just see if you had everything ready for your trip this afternoon?' She questioned me.
'Um, yeh. I have all my stuff in the downstairs lockers and I'm going to catch a cab from here, but I was just in the middle of booking my cab when you called me!' I finished with a taut smile.
'Oh, well, you better get back to that!' she said looking a bit cheerful, although it was always hard to tell with Thalia.

I was starting to walk to James' office to say goodbye to him but stopped when I saw him with a girl, I instantly had this feeling in my stomach growing bigger and bigger consuming my throat and losing my ability to talk, so I listened to them with my super hearing.
'Metropolis isn't around the corner, jimmy. I came a long way to see you.' The girl said with emotion deep in her words.
'And why did you?' James questioned back.
'I Didn't like the way we ended things, can we just get dinner and talk?' She asked him
'Yeh sure. Dinner.' He replied a bit exasperated.

I frowned at the thought of James' long lost girlfriend, at least I don't have to stick around and have to get to know her. I walked back to my desk and Winn came up to me,
'Hey, you okay?'
'Fine, yeah, fine' I replied more softly then I would have liked as I sat down in front of the computer it was almost time to go so I got up again packed my stuff into the backpack and went into Ms. Hales office.
'Um, Ms. Hale, I-I have to leave now.' I stuttered. She looked up from her computer
'Oh, yes, look at the time, well. I have found my replacement her name is Tiffany!'
'That's great Ms. Hale, I really should be going, email me if you need anything or something goes wrong and I'll see what I can do!' I exclaimed walking out of her office coming to face Winn.
'Hey, Kara, I'm gonna really miss you working here, let's hope the replacement isn't annoying, she is gonna be working right near me! Make sure that you text me when you get there and tell me what it is like!'
Chuckling I said
'Yeah of course I'll text you but I really need to get downstairs to catch my cab!'
Well I guess I won't get to say goodbye to James. I'll text him when I get in the cab. I thought as I headed downstairs to collect my stuff from the lockers.

I waited outside for my cab to arrive. It finally gets here and I start to load my stuff into the back. As I'm opening the passenger seat door, I hear my name being called.
'Kara!Kara!'
I look up to see James Olsen calling my name but the cab driver is getting impatient, so I just give him a small wave and a sad smile. When I get in the cab I tell the driver my destination.
'Beacon Hills County Department' I say buckling my seat belt and pulling out my phone and headphones to listen to the playlist I had synced earlier. As I listened to the calming music I had a look at the GPS. Looks like I'll get there around 7:15 I thought, suddenly hearing a ping interrupting my music. I looked down checking my phone, it was from James.

James: Kara I didn't get to say goodbye!
Kara: Soz the driver was getting angry that I was taking too long.
James: Well goodbye I guess
Kara: Ye goodbye👋🏻

The car ride dragged on and on, once we were out of the city we passed a few small towns and then it was just grasslands. We would pass a small house occasionally but not many were being occupied, some had been abandoned. As the clock was clicking closer and close to 7:00 the rain was coming down even harder then it was this morning, it was now dark outside and there was a flash of lightening making me jump slightly in my seat as the electricity was loudly cracking in my ears as my superhuman hearing kicked in. Arghh! I don't need to deal with loud bangs in my head right now! I turn up the volume on my music as we reach a sign that says:

WELCOME TO BEACON HILLS
A SUNNY WOODLAND FULL OF ADVENTURE

I wasn't so convinced by the sign as a forest started to appear in the left hand side of the road all dark and scary, it sure wasn't warm and welcoming. I started to regret not telling Ms. Hale that I really didn't want to move, too late now. I took a photo out of the windshield to send to Winn, he immediately replied.

Winn: oooo, looks scary😂 it'll be better in day light.
Winn: hopefully. Send me a pic in the morning!

And with that the cab stopped right in front of a building with little shelter in front of it. I paid the cab driver the right amount then gave him a tip after he helped me get my bags out of the back.
'Thank you so much!' I said as I expressed my gratitude.
'It is all right ma'am.' He stated as he opened the cab door to get back in. As I turned to face the building that was the police station, I heard the engine begin as he slowly pulled away.

Okay! Hello!
