Chapter 10

He kisses me softly and gently, before pulling away and pushing his wet hair away from his face.

"Goodnight Bella" he says so soothingly that I can only just hear him. He leaves me standing in the rain, reflecting on the magical moment we just shared together.

...

I let myself into my dorm and walk over to the mirror to see that my hair is drenched and my mascara has run down my cheeks. Great. I take a shower and change into some sweatpants and a t shirt. I pull out my lesson plan and see that I have a University introduction and Business studies tomorrow. I roll my eyes and chuck my plan on the floor by my bed. My phone buzzes.

*Hey, it's Niall. Louis gave me your number; Have you recovered from last night yet?;)*

*Yeah, I'm good now, thanks. Think I need to cut down my alcohol measurements* I send without thinking. Oh god, I sound like a complete idiot. Alcohol measurements? Who even says that? My phone buzzes again.

*Haha, I think you do;) We're actually having another party Tuesday night if you want to come? Wednesday is a study day so nobody has lessons*

*Sure, sounds fun* I reply. Why not? I had fun at the last party, I just drank a little too much but before my wasted stage I was actually having a really good time. I wonder if Zayn's going?

*See you there! Same time, same place x* he replies. I set an alarm on my phone before locking it and putting it by my bed. I pull out a map of the University to work out where everything is and unsurprisingly fall asleep due to extreme boredom.

I rub my eyes sleepily and switch my alarm off before chucking a pillow at Sky to wake her. She groans and I laugh.

"We have University introduction in half an hour" I tell her. We both rush to get ready and go to the introduction. The introduction is pretty boring to be honest, just a load of activitities and extra credit subjects that they have to offer. I spot Riley across the room and look away instantly, but feel his eyes constantly on me until the introduction finishes. Sky and I have Business studies together, which is nice because it's our first lesson here.

We both yawn through the two hour lecture and almost jump for joy when the professor releases us from class, before heading to the cafeteria to get some lunch.

I grab a sandwich and Sky grabs a salad before we both stand to look for a table. We spot Liam, Niall, Chaz, and Louisa sitting at a table nearby. Liam waves us over welcomingly and we join them.

"Hey guys! You coming tomorrow?" Liam asks.

"Coming where?" Sky asks confused.

"Oh I forgot to say!" I bash my forehead with the palm of my hand, "Niall texted me last night and invited us to another party at his tomorrow" I smile.

"I'm up for it!" Sky chirps excitedly.

"Great. I'll see you both there then" Liam grins, also seeming pretty excited.

We all continue talking about the party and how excited we are for it. We eventually leave as they all have classes and I go back to my room and organise myself for a few hours. When Sky arrives back at our dorm we talk about her night with Chaz and decide to watch a movie on my laptop. We decide to watch a comedy, as in the past few days neither of us have been in the happiest mood and sure enough it cheers us both up. When we finish watching the movie I check the time and realise it is almost 8pm. 

I decide to go and get us a pizza from the pizza place on campus. As I'm walking I bump into Justin.

"Hey stranger" he smirks, "Where have you been hiding today?"

"I only had one class today" I inform him, "I've just been settling into my dorm and organising myself really. How are you today?" How are you today? What am I his aunt or something?

"Good thanks" he grins, giving me a slightly odd look, "How about you? Are you feeling better after all that's happened?" He asks sympathetically.

"Yeah, I think I am now. Are you going to Niall and Harry's tomorrow?" I quickly change the subject. To be honest, Riley is the last thing I want to talk about when I'm in a good mood like this.

"Yeah, how about you?" he chuckles lightly. "If you decide to, maybe let someone else pour your drinks for you? Just a thought." he winks.

I laugh and roll my eyes at him, causing him to do the same. 

"Well I gotta run, but I'll see you at that party tomorrow. Stay safe tonight babe." I almost melt at his choice of words as he touches my back lightly before continuing walking. 

The rest of my night is spent talking for hours and scoffing down pizza with Sky.

I wake up to a missed call from a random number. Do I call back? What if it's Riley? Riley is the last person I want to talk to, and the thought of him actually having my number sends a shiver down my spine.

My entire day is spend sitting through an hour long Business studies lecture and a three hour long English lecture. My last lecture finishes at 5pm, and I grab a burger from the takeaway van (strongly recommended by Justin) before heading back to my dorm to get ready for tonight.

Once I arrive back to my dorm I realise my phone is ringing again. I look at it to realise that the same number from this morning is calling me. I take a deep breath before answering.

"Riley if this is you i'm calling the police" I hiss.

"Bella? Are you okay? It's Zayn" Zayn quickly replies, panic clear in his voice.

"Zayn" I give a sigh of relief, "I'm fine, I just didn't recognize your number and thought-"

"It's okay" he interrupts sympathetically. "Sorry, I should have texted you, or given you my number the other day. But I was just calling to ask if you need a lift to the party tonight? Liam said you were coming."

"That would be awesome, thanks." I smile, "Should I meet you in the student car park at around 8?" 

"Yeah sure. See you later!" he hangs up the phone. 

I eat the remainders of my burger and get ready for the party tonight. I ask Sky if I can borrow her black lace dress and decide to wear red lipstick and line both my eyes with a thick line of eyeliner, flicking it at the ends of each eye. I decide to wear my hair straight tonight as a change from my normal demeanor.

I check the time and realise it's already five until eight, so me and Sky rush out to the student car park, making it there at about five past.

We walk up to Zayn, who is leaning against his shiny black car, dressed in a leather jacket and black skinny jeans. The perfect colour of caramel sets off his jet-black quiff, and as he lifts his head up, he looks at me with piercing chestnut eyes and smiles.

"You both look amazing" he compliments softly, not taking his beautiful eyes away from mine. I blush and Sky thanks him for the both of us, as we climb into the back of his car.
