Aruka: Hmm... (I woke up to some stomach pains and a bit of a chill, when I realized that Lucias had already gone to help Aphmau with the playground. She already done it, but he helped with the finishing touches.) 'It's morning, already...'
(I sat up from the comfy bed, as I held my expanding stomach, deciding to go visit aphmau, and see how my fiance was doing. I managed to reach Aphmau's house, at the the bottom of the slightly steep hill, and sighed.)
'Oh... my... Irene..!' (I growled, irritated, as I held my stomach.) 'MORE climbing?!' (I sighed, and smiled, irritated.) LUCIAS! (He came from the top of the hill to me, and smirked.)Lucias: Yes, my dearest~! (He hummed, as he picked me up bridal style.) I will help you up the hill, my lady. (He carried me up, and set me down where I could manage. I brushed off my clothes, and Aphmau was surprised to see me with my growing belly, as she smiled at me.)
Aphmau: Aruka....? (I chuckled at her struggling, and she sighed.) You're getting big. (I smiled, a little, as Lucias held my hand.) I hope everything is going okay with the baby.
Aruka: Thanks. And, Lady Aphmau, I really like the playground. (I looked at it, as she smiled.) Its coming along great, since there's not many things like that around here, and little Levin seems to love it, too. (We giggled, watching Levin play in the sand.)
Aphmau: Yeah, he's the first to try it out, since there aren't many kids around... (She looked at me, and smiled.) Yet... (I smiled at this, feeling my hand get squeezed a little, and turned to notice Lucias was smiling, too.)
Aruka: Ahem.... (I turned to Aphmau with a rather serious face.) Lady Aphmau, I heard.... about... what happened... to Laurence... (She frowned a little, sighing.) I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but my duty was here, helping while you were gone... (I sighed.)
He is great man, despite his habits, he has proven to be very noble, and protected you.... I see no greater honor in a guard than what he did... You really should be grateful to have him, as a guard..., and as a friend...
(I placed a hand on her shoulder.) Believe in him, Lady Aphmau.... I know he will get out of this.... stronger and braver than he was, before...Aphmau: Its fine.... I understand... I will put my belief in him, Aruka. (She scoffed, as she smiled.) You know, whenever you say you guarantee something will happen, I get this feeling that you're right, and I should believe you... (I giggled, as she joined in.) Crazy, huh?
Aruka: No, it just shows how much we trust each other. (She nodded, and changed the subject.)
Aphmau: So, I'm gonna go check on Logan, do you want to come with, Aruka? (I nodded, leaving Lucias to finish up, as we took a safer route to the plaza. On our way, the new guard, who informed Aphmau of no "shadow knight" sightings, seemed off.) 'Rather odd...'
(Believe me, I was no fool to deny possible danger as an option, when it came to these feelings I got from people, especially if they were new, no matter the bloodline. I knew something wasn't right, but I didn't want to tell Aphmau, since he seems decent enough not to do anything stupid, as of yet. I also didn't want to accuse without any evidence, so I decided to keep my eye on him, for now, until he actually makes his move.) Hm.Aruka: 'Guess he seems harmless, for now.' (We got to the plaza, and I saw Kiki tending to the merchant, who conned Lucias, known as Logan.... or what looked to be him. He didn't seem all that well.) 'Is he running a fever, or something...?'
Aphmau: Hm...? (She noticed Kiki.) Kiki...? What is she doing here...? (We walked up to the two, and Kiki turned to take notice of us.) Kiki, what's going on...?
Aruka: Hm. 'I know this kind of scent... wolf...?' (I pondered over my new evidence.) 'Was he attacked by wolves...? An injury from that kind of attack would be noticeable, and it could cause a person to have a few days of bed rest, considering the drastic wounds....' Huh.
(I looked him over.) 'But, I would smell the blood on him, even if he was treated... I only smell...!?' (As I took a closer look at him, my eyes widened.) 'No... he's turning... into a... werewolf...!?' (I immediately took three steps back, and they both looked at me.) 'The one thing that never had a good relationship with me.'
