Finding You

Chapter 7

"Like yeah you could be the one that could mess me up" my alarm clock went off. I hit the snooze and went back to sleep.

What seemed like 5 minutes became 5hours. I woke up in a hurry, thinking it was time to go to school. I put on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a grey hoodie with a pair of my old converse. I walked downstairs and found that my mom was still home and my sister was watching her favorite show, The Fosters. I looked around wondering what was going on and if my family was taken by aliens.

"Uh...why is mom still home?" I asked my sister while sitting down next to her. "Well, it is Saturday" she said. I nodded, standing up. Elisa extended her arm in front of me, making me sit back down. "Why don't you invite Reed over?" She asked. My mom over heard and out of the corner of my eye I could see she was eves dropping. I shook my head.

He will never show. I thought to myself.

"He will show he likes you" she said, as if she read my mind. I shrugged and watched the rest of The Fosters. For about a couple of minutes it was silent and all you could hear was the sound of the TV.

Out of no where Elisa reached over me and grabbed my phone out of my hands. "What are you doing?" I asked as I tried to get the phone back. "Text him!" She yelled at me. I covered my ears and ignored her. "He won't show!" I yelled back.

I didn't see Elisa shout any thing back but she did look over at the door and drop my phone on my lap. I looked over my shoulder at the door as well and didn't expect see who was at the door.

REED! How did he even get my address. My mom stood in front of him. He noticed me and waved. I looked back at my sister and gave her a weird look like, how did you do that, look. She winked. I grabbed my phone and walked over to the door where Reed was standing. "Uh...how did you get my address?" Was the first thing I asked him. He pointed at my sister. "She told me to come over" I rolled my eyes. "Of course"

We stood there for a minute in silence. "Want to take a walk?" Reed asked. I nodded. I looked at my mom, who was behind me, indicating if I could go with him. She nodded. I closed the door behind us and followed Reed.

"So..." Reed scratched the back of his neck. "Hey!" I said. He laughed. "You've changed" he added. My heart dropped. "I-Is that good?" I asked. He nodded. "Of course, you're awesome!" He yelled. I smiled. "Why thank you" I said. He laughed again.

We walked about half a mile until we saw a smoothie shop. Reed and I both stopped. "I love that place!" I squealed. "Me too" Reed yelled. "Let's go inside" I insisted. He agreed with me and took my hand. We walked together inside the store.

We bought the strawberry banana smoothie and sat in one of the booths.

I then saw two familiar body's walk towards us.

Not a day can go by peacefully. I thought to myself.

I looked into Reed's eyes with a,'why are they coming this way?' look. Reed shook his head and sat next to me instead of in front of me. The two girls sat in front of us. Reed didn't hesitate,"Why are you here?" He asked. I silently sat next to him drinking the rest of my smoothie. "We came to see are you two losers were doing" Liana said. Reed rolled his eyes. I tried to ignore what they just called Reed and I, but I couldn't.

"So how is she doing?" Liana asked, Ciara reached forward playing with my hair, pulling strands here and there. I threw her hand away and sat back. Reed had sadness in his eyes. "Why do you even hang out with here?" Liana asked Reed. He rolled his eyes.

"Because, unlike you she is actually nice to people" He said that as nicely as possible. "But she so..." Ciara, who was now speaking, paused. "Homeless" she looked at me with a 'sad' face. Running her finger down her cheek making it look like if a tear drop fell. I scooted in closer into Reed. He put his arm around me.

"Looks like you two homeless have a thing" Liana said, snapping a picture of us. "What are you going to do with that?" I asked.

"It doesn't involve you!" Ciara yelled at me. I looked at Reed he was really relaxed for some reason. Liana was typing something on her phone and Ciara laughed. Reed rubbed my arm so I could calm down, I did, a little.

"Check your phone" Liana said. I took out my phone. "Not you idiot" Ciara said, taking my smoothie I reached over to grabbed it but her arm was longer then mines and I couldn't reach, since she held it over her head.

Reed took out his phone and found a Twitter message. I glance over at it and it read. "@ReedDeming Check it out Reedlings, Deming's got a girlfriend" I then saw all the replays. They were hurtful. One said,"She is an ugly wh**e. How could you?" There was also one that said,"You can do so much better then that."

Liana and Ciara snickered. I clenched my fist underneath the table. "Oh look here's one" Ciara said. "How comes that's not me, I look so much better" She paused. "Oh wait that was my reply" Ciara laughed along with Liana, winking at Reed. He rolled his eyes and took my hand squeezing it. I pulled it out of his grip and squeezed passed him to leave the shop.

Once I was outside I looked back to see Reed standing and saying something to the girls who were rolling there eyes and giggling. I turned around and almost bumped into someone. I heard footsteps behind me but thought nothing of it. Until I felt a hand in mines.
