And I've been waiting for this time to come around

And baby, running after you is like chasing the clouds

Reed sang to me. We were sitting on a bench in the park. My legs on top of Reed's. "Niall!" I squealed as Reed got closer to his part. Reed laughed and kept singing.

The story of my life

I'd take her home

Reed gently placed my legs on the floor and stood up, in front of me. His hand held up to my cheek.

I'd drive all night to keep her warm

And time is frozen.

Reed leaned in to kiss my lips but I turned my head so he would kiss my cheek. "Oh no" Reed joked. I stood up and ran towards the swings. "I'll get you" He yelled running after me. He soon catched up to me. I ran backwards, facing him, my arms extended in defense. "Reed no" I yelled as he ran behind me. He picked me up in midair and kissed my cheek.

"Worth it" He said. I smiled as Reed set me down and I calmly walked over to the swings. Reed followed behind me. I sat on one of the swings and started turning in circles. Reed sat on the swing next to me on his phone. He has been so attached to that since we got here.

"Reed, what's wrong?" I asked, twirling in a circle on the swing. "Oh nothing just sitting here with the most amazing person ever" He answered shoving his phone in his pocket. I smiled, looking down at the floor. "Thanks" I said fumbling with my fingers. He grabbed my hands and tilted my chin up so I would look at him. "You are perfect" His blue eyes staring back at me. I blushed and stood up from the swing. He did the same.

We walked hand in hand. Our arms moving back and forth with every step as we walked over to the monkey bars. I climbed up on the ladder and pulled myself to the top of the bars so I would be sitting on the bar. Reed followed my action and sat next to me putting his arm around me.

"Look at the sun set" Reed pointed at the sky where the sun was starting to come down. "It's almost as beautiful as you" He added, looking in my direction. I smiled at him and pecked his lips. He blushed as I rested my head on his shoulders.

I felt something vibrate underneath me. I thought it was the bars but it was actually Reed's phone. "Oh sorry" Reed said hopping down from the monkey bars to the sand. "Who's that?" I asked. "Uh my mom, I have to go" He answered softly. I nodded once with my bottom lip out, thinking. I shrugged and hopped off the bar as well. "I guess I'll see you later?" I asked. He hugged me and walked off without an answer. I stood there, alone. "Well..." I said to myself, not knowing what to do. I sighed and called my sister to see where she was at.

"Hello,Elisa"

"Whats wrong?"

"Nothing Reed just left can we go home now?"

"Sure, wait in the car"

"Okay, bye" I said to my sister before hanging up.

I waited near our car until Elisa showed up from the flower patch near the park. She waved at me, unlocking the car with her keys. I got inside and buckled up waiting for my sister to get inside.

"How did it go?" she asked. "Fun" I said. She smiled and put the key into the ignition to put the car in reverse. "Music?" She asked. I nodded and looked out the window. It took me a while to process what happened just a while ago and why Reed didn't answer me but I didn't want to jump to conclusions so I shook it off and turned up the radio. The song "We Can't Stop" started playing and Elisa and I started singing along and dancing. A few songs later we pulled up to the drive way of our house.

Short Little Chapter. Why do you think Reed is on his phone so often? Who is he actually talking to?
