Finding You

Chapter 6

When we got to the entrance of Six Flags I was more excited then anyone else in my whole class. I couldn't resist showing my excitement. I jumped up and down, screaming in my head. "Calm down it's just Six Flags" Reed put his hand on my shoulder, calming me.

"I'm sorry I just never been here before" I said embarresed.

"I see" Reed and Alejandro laughed at me. I rolled my eyes and kept walking.

There were stores and rides that I was ready to go on but we still past them to meet up with the other groups before we can go on them. When we did meet up with the others, our teacher told us not to leave one another and to be back before seven so we can see the fireworks display. (I haven't been to six flags in a LONG time so I don't know what is there, sorry) I nodded ignoring the words that came out of her mouth. I was fascinated with the sight of everything around me. I think Reed saw I was excited because he put his arm around my shoulder. I smiled at him.

After listening to my teacher talk for what seemed like forever we finally were able to go on the rides. The first ride we went on was a wooden roller coaster. "So who's going with who?" Alejandro asked. I thought for a second.

REED I told myself.

Raven winked at me. I smiled, she obviously knew what I was thinking about. "How about Ellie and Reed?" Raven asked, shrugging. "Eww I don't want to go with you" Alejandro told Raven. I couldn't resist laughing. Reed laughed to. Raven punched him in the arm. "Ow" Alejandro yelled. That made me laugh harder.

" I guess I'm going with you" Reed said. I nodded.

As soon as we got strapped down to the ride I started to get nervous. It was my first time on a wooden roller coaster. Reed rubbed my arm to calm me down. "It's okay" He whispered. I nodded staring into his blue eyes. "Okay." The whole ride we rode backwards. Reed made me raise my hands up and I did. I felt like I was going to fly off the cart.

When we got off my hair was all messed up so I decide to leave it down. The whole day we went on rides and ate a lot of food. Since Reed and Raven had been here before Alejandro and I followed them to the 'hot spots' of the park. They made us go on a water ride which made me get drenched in water and to dry off we went on the highest and faster roller coaster of the park. It was so much fun.

At seven, all the groups gathered up in one spot to watched the fireworks display near the lake in Six Flags. Our group ran all the way there because we were late to come.

"Finally" I panted, after all that running I was exhausted. "Want me to pick you up?" Alejandro asked. "No I'm to fat" I looked down at myself. Reed glared at me. I shrugged it off. "No you're not" Reed said. I smiled,mouthing,'thank you.'

Watching the fireworks display made me so happy. I love the moment when the colors appear in the sky and then diffuse into the air. I would have loved it even more if I knew how Reed felt. Then I could make a move. Show him how I feel. I mean,now a days, girls sometimes ask the guys out and sometimes they wait. And I don't feel like waiting to know if he wants to be with me or not. I'll just go with it. And if things happen, then let it be.

Which got me to thinking, why not do my move now? No. I sighed. Reed will never like me the way I like him. I don't even know anything. He's my first real crush and he actually talks to me and I don't want to ruin that over one gesture. I sighed again and kept looking at the sky. The pretty colors appearing and disappearing.

When it was time to go back to the buses we decided we would stop and take a group picture.

We joined everyone else on the bus. They separated us into boys and girls but there were no more seats left on the girls side so I sat next to Reed on the trip back. I bought my headphones and iPod in my bag so I took them out and listen to music.

I was getting tired and my eyes were closing until Reed saw me. "Are you tired?" He asked. I nodded, half awake. He looked at his hands then back at me. "Me to" he put his head back against the seat.

At first I didn't know what I was doing but I rested my head on his shoulder. I was going to sit up straight but Reed rested his head on mine. I smiled and closed my eyes.

Raven shook me awake. I hit my head on the seat in front of me which, of course, made Raven laughed. I pushed her back and made her fall. We were the last two on the bus. I speed walked out of the bus while Raven followed behind. I heard music coming from somewhere. I looked at the ground and realized that my iPod was still on and I was dragging my headphones on the floor. I quickly grabbed my headphones and cleaned them off. Raven stood in front of me, now. "Are you staying over?" She asked. I shook my head. "I forgot my stuff" I pouted. "Need a ride?" She asked. I shook my head. She nodded. "Okay bye" she waved and ran off.

I waited for my mom for the past 30 minutes and realized I was wrong. I did need a ride. I texted her one last time until she finally answered.

Mom: I can't come I'm still at work, sorry. Ask one of your friends for a ride? :(

I started to cry.

I have no ride now. I thought to myself.

I started to walk until someone poked my shoulder. I turned around and saw Reed. I smiled trying to hide that I was crying. "Need a ride?" He asked. I nodded.

He took my hand and I followed him to his car. He knew I was crying and wiped away my tears with his thumb. I smiled. "Thanks" I told him. He nodded. "It was nothing" he said.
