My whole body froze.

This isn’t possible…

This must be some sort of trick, some sort of really elaborate prank…

Okay extremely elaborate. But then again I was constantly being pranked by almost everyone in the Tardis.it was basically high school all over again. Well except for the fact that I couldn’t run from it.

So I decided that it was the Doctor and Amy pulling a prank on me again. A small smile crept across my dull face as I thought of the time me and the Doctor dumped fish custard on Rory because he said he didn’t like it.

Then I remembered.

Amy and Rory are dead.

I wanted to cry but I was snapped out of my trance when the doctor snapped his finger in front of my face.

“Are you okay?” he asked looking at me concerned.

“Yeah…I’m fine-“ I said as I swallowed and silently wept on the inside. I was so alone.

“So…Again... Would you like to see your baby?” he asked looking at me with a flash of concern on his face.

I just nodded feebly as I waited to see if this really was some elaborate prank.

I just laced my fingers together and waited for a bit when the doctor returns with a small bundle in his hands.

All I can see is a delicate bundle wrapped in a small satiny pink blanket.

He gently hands her to me and I see a beautiful face of a baby girl , with bright, deep, blue eyes  staring back at me.my heart melted as I cradled her in my arms happily humming some nursery rhymes that I learned back when  I lived in Gallifrey.

The man was staring back at me and her as I cradled her as I accepted the fact that I was a mother…

Funny how in certain situations you can just accept some things, yet deny them in others.

“So what are you going to name her?” he asked looking at me with caring eyes.

Hmm…

Think of a name….

Isabelle… no to frilly.

Arielle… Na, to girly.

I thought of the times I spent with the Doctor.

And then I had it.

“I’m going to name her Nova. Nova Cassia Salem.” I said as I felt satisfied with the name.
