Chapter seven

Maya

"Maya?" someone shakes me as I uncontrollably cry. "Maya?"

I look up to see who it is. It is that guy from Soel Chan's group. Who never said a word to me before. He has a concerned look on his face. But I can't trust him. He's with Soel Chan. He's his friend! I lower my face in my hands and start crying all over again. 

I need Kim Na Na. Where is she?

"Hey, Maya," he starts again, shaking me again. "Did Soel Chan bully you again?"

"why do you care!" I mumble in my hands.

"what?" he can't understand me.

"why do you care?" I say, this time lowering my hands and picking up my head a little.

"I know you think I cannot be trusted," he says, politely. "but believe me, I mean no harm. I told Soel Chan to leave you alone many times. He wouldn't listen."

"Does he ever?" I look away.

"He is hard to handle." he sighs. "By the way, I'm Cha Chi Kun. But call me Charlie."

"Why Charlie?" I ask.

"It's my English name." He smiles.

I wonder If Soel Chan has an English name too? Hell, I don't care!

"Should I sing for you?" Charlie asks.

I look at him. What is he trying to do? But I nod instead. A song wouldn't kill me. He takes out his phone, giving me one ear plug and wearing the other.

He plays the intrumental music. I know the song. He was going to sing 

Yet by Switchfoot. 

All attempts have failed 

All my heads are tails 

she's got teary eyes

I've lost myself or most of me

I stare at him, with no words in my mouth. His voice contained deep sorrows and maturity. He is a great singer. My heart starts to settle in. 

"Right now," Charlie say. "Soel Chan bullies you because he thinks you're his toy and as long as he wants, he can play with you." 

"huh! He said that!" I look at him, astonished. Suddenly all the calmness of my heart is replaced by a thunderstorm. Soel Chan thinks I'm his toy? What a sick mind does this guy have. I can't believe I had a crush over this insane person! Well, that was only because when he sings, he reminds... No, I can't compare him with her. Ever! He's an evil and a pathetic man!

"You know," He says. "The only thing that will bring him down is if you stand up to him." 

I look at him. Stand up to him. Didn't I just do that? Nah, I ran away crying. That totally cancels out the standing up to him. I sigh. I can't take that anymore.

"Stand up to him? how?" I ask.

"Take advantage of him." Charlie winks.

"what!?!" I shout.
