Chapter 11

Maya

I struggle to get his hands off my face but his grip stays the same. His lips just few inches away that I can hear him breathing. My heart starts to race as I imagine his lips on mine; my first kiss! I start to get red and I know he can see it, his eyes locked with mine and for a second, I couldn't think of anything. His dark eyes holds a concern look, which am about to fall into.

"Don't-" I try to speak but that just made him come closer to me.

My eyes go wide as he slowly turns his face to meet my lips. I can feel little butterflies in my stomach and my start racing at its full speed. I force my eyes to close as something unthinkable is about to happen.

Suddenly. I feel his hands slipping off my face. I stay where I am and not moving an inch, afraid to do anything stupid.

Then I hear a choke and a... laughter.

I open my eyes instantly, and see Soel Chan laughing his head off. I glare at him. What happened? Why he's laughing? And then the reality strikes me. He never planned to kiss me. Like always, he is bullying me.

Ha, and for a second I thought that this actually could mean something. I need to learn the fact that Soel Chan can never feel that way about me.

Seriously, whom am I kidding? A girl who he despises this much, someone he can't even offer to be a little kind because her status doesn't matches his. (I don't think he's nice to anyone).

I feel my heart do some horrible flips and I can feel a knot in my stomach now, which ate away all my butterflies.

I feel embarrassed, in front of that person who I, now, definitely hate!

His laughing still hasn't stop! He gets up from the chair and lies on bed, holding his stomach. I watch him without saying a word, thinking I might cry and make myself more embarrassed. This time I need to pull myself together and not let my guard down.

"You...hahaha...actually...thought I was...hahaha... going to... hahaha.. kiss you!!!" He says in between his laughs, making me more uncomfortable.

I no longer hold the nice girl status and this guy, right here is going to see the worst of me now. Why should I even bother with this dork, who cannot even come out for a second from his own Rich life and try to understand someone! Well, he's never gonna do that because he very much likes his rich life. Look at him, all so fancy, brat-y, stuck up, almost-first-kiss-stealer bastard!

I stand from my chair, picking up his bag with me. I throw his bag to him and say two words that made his laughing all gone in a minute.

"Get lost!"

I glare at him, almost trying to kiss me and making a fool of me wasn't enough for him. But he had to say that I thought he was going to kiss me? I feel disgusted by myself too now, how can I ever think that way! I am a human being after all and not a piece of shit! What's so wrong about kissing me! I held my breath so that I don't try to cry like the last time.

"Get lost" I say it again as he just keeps staring at me and not moving a bit.

"I thought we had a project to do?" He replies, innocently. Mocking me again! That Son of a B****!

"No, we don't!" I say, brawlingly. "You, get out of my house right now! I'll go to teacher and take out your name as my partner! And if you're worried about William, I won't say anything to him either! So please, leave!"

He looks at me with this weird expression, something that I never expected him to look like. He looks sorry. But that could be another one of his games. Another one of his bully tricks to make me feel embarrassed again. He never learns but I do. I'll stay out of his way now.
