It's exhilarating.
A warm feeling fills you up as you stand at the stage, facing the large crowd. They are applauding you. Smiling.
Maybe they don't know how hard you have worked for it. How much of your health and and your happiness you have sacrificed just to stand at that platform.
You simply bow and move forward to accept your award from the guest. They smile and congratulate you with a simple word.
You glance around again, and then notice the ones you were yearning to see.
Your parents, clapping enthusiastically, with your father looking the happiest you've ever been, your mother sporting a tear or two. They are there. To watch you stand tall.
You're offered a mike to talk.
You're as nervous as a mouse, and nobody but your parents catch that. Your mother signals a 'thumbs up', and you clutch the mike in your trembling hands.
Somehow, the words flow out naturally.
You talk, and as you finish, the audience all rise up in unison, clapping loudly, some of your friends cheering you on from backstage. Still, you got eyes for the ones who made this possible.
And finally, after years of persistence to achieve your goal, you smile wide.
A/N: I don't even know what this is but hehe.
