Xander's POV:
We had taken the troops by surprise and defeated them.
Alex and I were crouched outside the castle waiting on Cody's arrival so we could get in and then send our troops to take care of the rest of Damian's troops.
"What's the plan guys?" Cody asked as he arrived in our hiding place.
"Us 3 go in and creep around to find out how many troops are inside then Alex will teleport back to our troops waiting in the woods and tell them the positions then send them in while you and I locate Thaddeus and Annaliese."
We scaled the wall and were about to top it when a bright light hit us.
"INTRUDERS!!" Then a siren blared.
"Ah hell that just messes up our plans. Alex-"
"Way ahead of ya twin." And with that he was gone.
"Come on Cody. Looks like we have to fight our way in."
We grinned at each other then got down to buisness. He pulled out some guns and I shifted to tiger form.
The rest of the troops burst in and all hell broke loose. There was blood everywhere.
All of a sudden I got this terrible pain in my gut and it caused me to crumble and shift back to human form. I would've died if Cody hadn't been there.
"NO!!"
We all looked up to a tower and what I saw nearly killed me. Annaliese had a dagger in her stomach and she was falling. I felt her life fading fast.
"ANNALIESE!"

Annaliese's POV:
I was falling and then I was wrapped in someone's arms laying on the ground in their lap. I looked up to see Xander holding me in his arms. I felt something wet hit my cheek and that's when I realized he was crying.
