I packed a big duffel bag of clothes and stuff I just wanted but it wasn't a lot. I stood there looking around the room that I might not ever see again.

The doorbell rang and I heard da-I mean Derrek answer it.

      "How is she?" Xander!

"She's fine. She actually took the news pretty well."

      "Can I see her?"

      "She's in her room."

I sat down in my desk chair as I waited for Xander to get in here.

      "Hey Princess."

"Hi Xander. I guess you know too huh."

"Yes. You don't remember me from your childhood do you?"

      "No. Were we friends?"

"Yes. Very much so," he said laughing, "One time you told me that we were going to get married and have 50 kids."

I laughed. That was pretty funny.

"What about your brother? Were we friends too?"

"Yes actually. He had a major crush on you but not anymore."

"If we were all friends then why does your brother act so rude and mean?"

"He just doesn't like this world. He will smile when we go back home."

      "Oh OK."

"Annaliese! Xander! Come on it's time to leave."

      "Alright coming!"

I go to reach for my duffel bag but Xander beats me to it.

      "I can carry it."

"Don't worry I got it. But hey listen don't be afraid."

      "How did you know?"

      "I can smell fear."

He pulled me into a hug and I was grateful 'cause I needed it. It made me feel a little better.

He kissed my forehead and pulled away.

      "You ready, Beautiful?"

      "Yes."

      "ANNALIESE! XANDER!"

      "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT DONT YELL GOSH!"

We ran downstairs and into the kitchen where everyone else was.

"So how do we get there?"

"Me, you, and Cody get there by way of the portal in the basement. Xander and Alex however can teleport there. They will do this and tell the King that we are on our way."

As Derrek said this the twins flashed out and it scared the hell outta me. I actually jumped and screamed.

"Don't be so jumpy Liese." Cody was laughing at me.

"Shut up you meanie!" Pouty face.

"OK stop your bickering. Your father is awaiting your return."

All of a sudden my pulse started racing. I was nervous. What if he's mean? What if he doesn't like me anymore?

"Stop worrying Liese father loves you. I promise. He has contacted me once a year and the first thing he asks is 'How is she?' And I should tell you that we have a little sister and her name's Baylee."

      "How old is she?"

"She's 5 and she's really excited to meet you. She's the cutest thing ever. Not shy and she has really blonde hair."

"I can't wait to meet her."

      "Stop worrying Liese."

      "I can't help it Cody."

      "It'll be alright."

We arrive in the basement and stand in front of a wall. Derrek steps forward with a piece of white chalk and draws a door with a handle. When he finishes he opens the door and we're blinded by a bright white light but it dims down after a few seconds.

      "Ready?"

      "Ready as I'll ever be."

He grabbed my hand like he would when I was really scared or nervous.

Then we walked into the doorway to my home.
