7.Snow

      I was sitting in my room petting Demon after supper when Baylee burst into my room carrying a snow white husky puppy.

      "Annaliese look at what Alex got for me!"

      "Wow he's pretty! What's his name?"

      She jumped on my bed and giggled, "HER name is Winter."

      "Oh sorry. Do you like the winter time?"

      "YES!! I love the snow and I can make snow too. Wanna see?"

      "Sure!"

      We walked outside and she dragged me to the meadow. It was night time but the moon was really bright and we could see clearly.

      "Watch this."

      She closed her eyes and at first nothing happened but then it started snowing lightly. It wasn't even cold but it was so beautiful.

      "I love coming out here and making it snow. If you didn't already know I can control the element of water."

      "So I could do this if I wanted?"

      "Yes. Close your eyes and concentrate."

      "But I haven't had any training yet."

      "It's not that hard just try."

      I closed my eyes and concentrated but when I opened my eyes it wasn't snowing.

      "Try again. I know you can do it."

      I closed my eyes and felt her hold my hand. I smiled and I felt snow falling again but more this time.

      "Did I do this?!"

      "Yes."

      I smiled so big that my mouth started hurting. Now there was a good bit of snow covering the ground so I got an idea.

      "Hey Baylee wanna play hide n' seek?"

      "Sure!"

      "OK close your eyes and I'll hide first."

      I watched her close her eyes and then I quickly picked up some snow and made it into a snow ball and chunked it at her. At first she looked shocked and I was laughing too much to notice that she had recovered until she hit me with one. This girl's got good aim.

      "Oh now it's war!"

      We threw snow balls at each other for about 30 mins before we collapsed next to each other exhausted from our war. I can't believe a 5 yr old beat me.

      "Annaliese! Baylee! Ah there you two are. I want to talk to you girls about something."

      "Yes father?"

      "Annaliese since we haven't celebrated your birthday I think we should have a birthday ball. What do you think about that?"

      "Yay!! Come one Annaliese say yes." She gave me the cutest puppy dog pout ever!

      "Alright alright yes."

      "YAY!! I'm going to tell Winter about the ball! Night dad love you!"

      "Love you too angel." He said chuckling.

      "You better head off to bed also. You have training for your powers in the morning."

      "Alright Dad. Goodnight I love you."

      "I love you too Honey."

      I went to my room and when I walked through the door I was attacked by Demon. I scooped him up and went to my bed. We got under the covers and Demon curled up next to my head and fell right asleep. I laid awake for awhile thinking of things to come and of training for my powers until I finally dozed off.
