Chapter 30

Chapter 30- A happily ever after all....

*3 years later*

"Shhh, baby it's ok." I said as I rocked my sweet angel back and forth.

"Hey." Said eve as she came up to me.

"Hey." I smiled. "Congratulations." I said as I hugged her. She smiled. She was dressed up in a white dress with sequins at the top and puffy from the bottom and a white matching veil. She had minimal make up and her hair was in a bun with some curls on the side.

Yes, you guessed right today was the day that she was getting married to Sean, a friend from high school.

"Hello, Charlie." She said as she kissed her on the cheek which made her giggle. Charlie was my three year old daughter. I had found out on the day of Josh's funeral that I was pregnant. She was a beautiful baby and hopefully he was watching over her like he was with me. I still loved him and still remembered him but lived for my little princess. She had inherited all of Josh's looks and personality both, nothing like me.

"Baby, come on." I looked to see jake calling me. Yes, me and jake had become close after Josh's death and started to have a connection once getting to know each other. We married after I gave brith to Charlie and he helped raise her up like a father figure. We had been married for 2 years now and another baby was on its way, this time it was jakes baby and I was 7 months old. He came up to me and placed a kiss on my lips, he then took Charlie from me as he didn't want any weight on my stomach and smiled at eve.

"My brother and josh would be so happy right now that you two are enjoying and living without them." I smiled and so did eve.

"We couldn't have done it without you jake. Thank you." We all smiled at each other and had a group hug.

"Charlie...want cake." We all looked up and laughed at Charlie's baby antics.

"The bride is on next, everyone get ready and in your places."

"Good luck." I said to eve and then grabbed jakes hand and we walked out.

*At the wedding*

We had all walked in and watched as the spotlight was all on Eve. She reached the altar and we watched as the priest began the vows.

"We are gathered here today to celebrate the wedding ceremony of Eve Riley and Sean Callum." He said.

"Do you Eve Riley take Sean Callum to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?" She smiled at Sean and then said.

"I do." Sean smiled and she then looked at me and smiled, whilst I mirrored her expression she then turned back to Sean. Charlie was asleep on jakes lap and jake squeezed my hand and then looked down at me as I smiled up at him.

"Do you Sean Callum take Eve Riley to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"

"I do." He said as he looked at her lovingly. I felt the tears come, they were tears of joy.

"I pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride." With that they kissed passionately and everyone applauded and cheered for the newly weds.

At the after party, the couple had their first dance and then everyone joined. I stood up as I walked to the front to give a speech.

"May I have your attention, please." I said as I tapped my wine glass. "As you know my best friend Eve has got married to a guy who she truly loves and I know will never get rid or let go of after a tragic past. I just want to say thank you Eve, for being the best friend in the whole wide world and to my loving husband, Jake. They have both taught me how to live and I don't know where I would be without them. I wish you both a successful marriage." I then ended up in tears and Jake and Eve joined me and hugged me, they were in tears themselves.

"I love you guys." I said.

"We love you too." They said in unison. With that we danced all night even with Charlie and had the time of our lives since a long time.

"Bye." I said. "Have a great time and don't forget to ring when you reach." She smiled.

"I won't." She said and then they closed the door and started the engine.

"Bye, enjoy your honeymoon." She laughed and they drove off.

"Come on, Mrs Jake. We have to go home and get our kids too sleep." I smiled and then we made our way home walking hand in hand.

*5 months*

"WAAAAAHHH!!" I ran and cradled my baby boy as he cried.

"Shhhh." I said. "It's ok. Mummy's here." I hummed and watched as my baby went back to sleep.

"Mummy!" Said Charlie as she ran in and hugged my leg from the back.

"Hello, angel." I said as I placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Is my baby boy awake?" Said jake as he took him. We had decided to call him Josh, since Eve had called her son Johnny.

"Hello." Said Eve. "Is anyone home?" I smiled.

"Hey, come in." We hugged each other and then greeted each other as well.

"So, how have you been?" I asked.

"Fine, what about you?" I nodded.

"Same." We watched as Charlie and Johnny played with each other. Johnny was one year younger than Charlie. Me and Eve gossiped and watched the kids play as Sean and Jake talked to each other about guy stuff. Josh was in his crib asleep.

Although, I missed Josh a lot each day and kept only thinking about him as he was my first love. I was happy as I had my family right here that I loved and nothing could change it.

My caring sister like friend, her husband who was a good friend, their child Johnny who was like a nephew to me. I also had my real family, one I could call my own. My beautiful kids who were the ones that mattered a lot to me and my caring and loving husband who was with me through thick and thin.

I guess I really did have a happily ever after planned all along!!!
