Chapter 24

Chapter 24- The dance (part 2)

I turned to see a guy in a red and black tuxedo to match mine. He had jet black hair and green eyes. To say he was not attractive would be a lie he was pretty fit to be honest.

I realised he was waiting for a answer and I was just looking at him like an idiot.

"Um...sorry, em...yeah I'm Karina and you are?" I asked staring at him as I don't remember seeing him around in this school.

"Sorry, where are my manner." He said as he extended his hand. I looked at him and he raised his eyebrows, I took his hand blushing red as he placed a kiss on it.

"I am Robert." I looked at him and pulled my hand back. I knew he couldn't be the Robert that was after me but the way he said his name just gave me a bad vibe. God, where did eve find him from?

"Would you do the honour of having a dance with me?" I stared and him and just nodded. Why was he talking so old fashioned. He took me to the middle of the dance floor and we did a slow dance together.

"Would you mind if I tried something?" I looked at him confused.

"Um...no." I mumbled. He smiled and leaned in closer until our lips were inches apart, I knew this was wrong but why couldn't i move away. Our lips touched and moved together in sync, I was confused they fitted just like Josh's lips but his were much warmer whilst Roberts were cold. He pulled away after a bit and smiled like a Cheshire Cat. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What was that for?" He looked at me apologetically.

"Sorry, I know we just met but I promised to myself I would kiss my true love at a dance." I looked at him did he just say true love? Woah, no ways this was not true love we didn't even know each other.

"Um...I'm just going to get a drink." I said needing to get away from him. He nodded and let me go. I quickly walked to the table before he changed his mind and grabbed a glass of punch.

"So whose your date?" I turned to see josh.

"Um...that's Rober." He looked at me and nodded.

"Did you read my text?" I looked at him and sighed.

"Yes, but josh...I-" I got cut of as he talked.

"No, please I need you, I won't be able to live without you whatever I did wrong I will change it. Just give me one more chance." I looked at him and held the tears back, how I wanted to just grab and kiss him and never let go in my arms and tell him he didn't do anything wrong, he was perfect but I knew I couldn't do that.

"I'm sorry, I'm better off without you and you are without me." I grabbed the drinks and walked off leaving the pieces of my heart that were broken with him.

"Hey." Said Robert. I smiled and handed him his drink. We danced and talked all night. The music changed to a slow song to end the dance and we went in the middle of the floor and danced.

"You know Karina, you are one beautiful girl." I blushed. He smirked. He pulled me closer which gave me a chance to look at his features much better, gosh he looked so familiar.

As we continued dancing I hadn't realised that he had moved closer to me. Snapping out of my thoughts halfway I turned my head so he kissed my cheek.

"Sorry." I said as I pulled away from his embrace. I looked at me and then shook his head.

"It's alright, I moved too fast." He said. "Why don't we go outside?" I looked at him and then nodded. We walked outside. The winter breeze make me shiver, Robert put his coat around me and pulled me to his side which gave me his warmth and made me feel complete.

"So tell me about yourself." He said as we sat down on a bench near a lake in the back. We talked and got to know each other. He leaned in closer as I talked about my life and rambled on. I stopped talking as I saw lust and love clear in his eyes, was I seeing wrong we just met he couldn't love me could he?

"Erm...I," I said.

"Shhh!" He said as he placed his finger on my lip. He then moved it and placed his hand on my cheek and placed a kiss on me. I felt disgusted. I squirmed and pushed away.

"Leave me." I yelled as I slapped him across the face and ran away. He glared at me and ran after me.

"Get back here, you disobedient whore!" He yelled. I ran and felt the tears pour down my face, my nose red from the winter coldness. I felt someone grab me and pull me back. I saw it was Robert. I cried.

"Please, please let me go." I pleaded. He looked at me and smirked.

"Never, I've finally got you and I will never let you go again." I looked at him. "And about that slap, that deserves a punishment, don't you think so?" I widened my eyes and stared at him.

"No, please, I'm sorry." He pulled the coat off me and ripped the hem of my dress. I screamed. He kissed my neck and trailed his hand down my thigh and in from the split. I screamed and begged him to stop but he didn't. Before he could go further, he was pulled off of me. I looked to see josh fighting Robert. After a few minutes of fighting, Robert was gone. Josh walked up to me and wrapped me in his jacket.

"Are you ok?" He said as he looked at me worriedly. I just hugged him and cried my heart out.

After a few hours of crying, he let me go and we walked to the front of the school and went to his car.

"I'm going to drop you off home and don't worry I'll tell eve what happened." I looked at him and smiled. Why would he do all this after everything I did to him? One thing I knew now was that he was the one for me and was the perfect guy as well, my prince and saviour. I smiled and stared at him until my eyes drooped and darkness engulfed me.
