"Katie..."
"Ur sorry what?" I replied to Michael, I hadn't been able to concentrate since my phone call will Lauren earlier, I couldn't stop thinking about it, I really dislike him for what he did, but then again going to see him might help me get closure. I know lots of people lose people when they move away, they lose contact whatever, but they don't move away from you and become an international popstar.
"I said, your shifts over now, you can go home." He smiled at me in his way to happy smile, I don't think I could ask for a better manager.
"Oh." I checked my phone "It's that time already, I didn't realise." I grabbed by bag from under the desk, walked over to the staff room got my coat and walked back out. "Goodbye Michael I'll see you on Monday."
"Have a good weekend, bye." He shouted to me as I walked out, I looked back and saw him waving. He does make me smile.
As I was walking down the road to the bus stop -my car was at the garage for repair- I noticed they had already put up posters advertising Garys new tour "Since I Saw You Last" I couldn't help but giggle at the irony in that to be fair. I stood at the bus stop for what seemed like forever until my bus arrived, I must have been in my own world as I hardly noticed the bus stop in front of me, as the doors opened a familiar looking person walked out, they didn't notice me and walked in the opposite direction. How strange I thought to myself, I jumped on the bus, paid the bus driver and went to take a seat at the back of the bus.
"Did you see him, oh my god was it really him."
"You know it might have been, I heard he's been looking for someone who works around here recently." These two women, probably in their mid twenties were talking on the seats in front of me.
I couldn't stop thinking about the figure I saw getting off the bus, it was annoying me more than anything because I couldn't think who it was.
"He's doing a tour in April, and is doing dates at the O2."
Then it hit me, I knew exactly who it was. "Erm excuse me." I lightly tapped the woman in front of me on the shoulder. "Who are you talking about may I ask?"
"Gary Barlow of course!" The woman replied to me.
"Oh er, thank you." She then turned around and it all hit me, it was Gary getting off the bus, what if it's me he's looking for, no of course it's not he would have seen me and stopped if it was. Although what if he wasn't really paying attention to what was around him when we were young he never paid attention, and he also had his hood up like he was hiding, probably from people like the two women in front of me. Oh god. I have to go home and face Lauren now.
I must have been thinking about everything longer than I thought because we were soon at my stop, the two women in front had gotten off a few stops back. I careful walked to the front of the bus, trying not to fall over anything, I said thank you to the bus driver as I walked off, I was lucky really the bus stopped right outside my house. I looked up and the door swung open and out came Lauren.
"Oh my god Katie, I'm so excited." She came and grabbed me and dragged me in the house. "I've already pre ordered Gary's album so we get pre sale tickets on Wednesday in stead of having to wait till general release on Friday, I think that VIP will be a few hundred pounds for both of us but it will so be worth it! Katie!" She just screamed for a bit.
"Haha great." I bluntly replied. Well this should be fun I thought to myself.
