The rest of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning had been fairly uneventful. Michael was trying out new staff because he felt that the store was 'slightly understaffed' and so ended with me having the afternoon off.

"I can't believe you still haven't got a costume!" Lauren practically screamed at me as we made our way to the shops. "Katie, it's Halloween to-freaking-day and it's the party tomorrow and you don't have a costume, you're actually insane." She said grabbing my arm and pulling me into a small store.

"There's going to only be shitty things left and we're going to end up putting like a sheet over you and being a ghost or something like that." She said scanning the racks of pretty crap costumes.

"Is that an option because that sounds a lot easier?" I sarcastically asked.

"Look, you want something slightly elegant yet also something that you look so hot in that Gary is not going to be able to keep his hands and eyes off of you." She excited nearly screamed at me.

"Great, and what are you going as? I assume you like be trying to do the same to Mark." I asked her as she decided to leave this shop and go into one across the road from it.

"I am going as Superwoman obviously." She looked at me like I was stupid.

"Oh come on, that is so cliché, have you even ever seen it?" I asked slightly disappointed in her as I rolled my eyes.

"Nope but as long as it has Mark getting a bit got under the collar then that's fine by me because believe me, it fits me more perfectly than you can imagine." She said raising her eyebrows at me and smirking.

"Ugh, that is gross." I said cringing while looking through my racks of costumes.

"Hey, are you okay?" She said with concern now on her face.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just tired that's all." I reassured her with a smile.

"Alright, but if you- oh my god!" She screamed with delight.

"What? What?" I asked her confused.

"Look!" She screamed holding up what looked like a Catwoman costume. "It would look perfect on you and I guarantee that Gary will be throwing himself at you within seconds." She winked at me.

"I don't know, it looks like it's so tight and I don't know if I'd feel comfortable in it." I said feeling the lycra sort of material.

"Just go try it in please." She practically begged me.

"Fine." I huffed walking over to the changing rooms.

Squeezing into the damn thing was a harder task that I thought although it did hold everything in and in place so didn't look as bad as I expected.

"Are you in it yet?" Lauren asked through the curtain.

"One second." I mumbled back as I took another look at it in the mirror.

"Oh my god," she gaped as I pulled back the curtain. "Wow, that fits even better than I thought and damn you look fine in it." She said looking at just about every last inch of it.

"I don't know." I said looking in the mirror again. "There feels like there's something missing."

"Boots!" She called from behind me. "I have the most amazing black boots that would look perfect with it." She said looking at my feet.
