I groaned as I opened my eyes, feeling very sick and my head was pounding. Someone started to talk to me and I tried to focus on who ever was speaking but all I saw was fuzzy shapes in a dim light. I pulled my hand up and placed it on my head trying not to concentrate on anything expect the person talking. "Vikk? Vikk can you hear me?" At that I nodded and desperately tried not to fall back asleep again. Before I could say anything there was a groaned from beside me and someone's arm collided with my stomach making me queasy and I heaved slightly, but I managed to keep it down.

Someone pushed me onto my side in case I threw up and I was very thankful for the fact that they moved me very slowly as not to make me feel sick again. There was another groan and the sound of someone's limb hitting someone else. From what I could hear the person who had moved me had just protected me from another unwanted attack. The person spoke quietly and it was only then I realised it was a girl. "Can you move Preston away please? He's gonna hit Vikk again and I don't think he's feeling the best."

There was some shuffling and I gently opened my eyes, very thankful that there was only a dim light. There were several figures around me and as my eyes focused I could make out the forms of Lachlan and Mitch in the corner, Jerome beside my shoulder, Preston curled up on Rob's lap near the door and a girl who was sitting near my waist. She was looking me over very concerned but I smiled up at her, trying to make her less concerned. I didn't even know her but I could tell she had a very strong presence in the room and she knew what she was doing.

"What did that man give them Jay?" Lachlan asked quietly, hugging Mitch to his chest and curling up under the blanket. "It was an antidote as such. It was a reverse to the sleep medication they were given in the first place. It won't hurt them, it was just a way of getting them to wake up faster." Lachlan nodded, and settled back against the wall not entirely comforted, but less worried than before.

Preston squeaked a bit and squirmed around in Rob's arms, opening his eyes a bit before blinking over at me. He honestly looked like a small child curled up against Rob and his hair was falling in his face. He rubbed his eyes tiredly and Rob gently stroked his hair letting Preston stretch his legs for a bit. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I gasped looking up to see Jerome looking at me in silence. I saw a ring of bruises around his neck and I reached my hand up to touch them, curious. He shook my hand away, shaking his head at me.

There were several seconds of silence before Rob spoke up. "I think we should all sleep, we might not get another chance for a while." Jay nodded and looked pointedly at me and mouthed 'You will need sleep, trust me.' I nodded and took one last glance around the room before burying my face in my arm and falling into darkness.

Jay's POV.

-Flashback-

I could see them through them glass. The chains around their wrists prevented them from fighting. I was crying, because I knew what was coming next. They were going to be dead, and it was all my fault. It was just the three of us left now and now I was going to be left on my own.

The man behind them unlocked their chains, slowly and on purpose and they ran to the window, banging on it desperately with their fists. I could see fear and desperation in their eyes. The man came forwards and grabbed their shoulders gently leading them back over to the bed. He handed a pill to them, knowing they would take it on their own. Holding their hands over their heart, they swallowed the small pill. After a few minutes both of them collapsed onto the ground, both of them at the same time. Their breathing was becoming rapid and I knew it was over.

The door opened and I ran in, desperate for them to fight against the drug. I held their heads in my lap, crying. Both of their faces were a shade of light blue and their breaths came in rapid groups. It was only then I realized how similar they looked and I knew that I would remember that forever. Their eyes found mine and fixed on them. His mouth opened and he spoke two words. "I promise." Her hand found mine, she grasped it and she whispered something. "Never give up. Fight it whenever you can."

I promise. I will never give up. And I will keep fighting.

-Flashback over-

I sat up, gasping and shaking. I could see it so clearly, and I knew I would remember it forever. Rob and Preston were already awake, as was Jerome and Vikk. Lachlan and Mitch were still curled up together, sound asleep. Vikk looked over at me and motioned for me to give him a hug, which I gladly did. "Did you have a nightmare?" I nodded into his chest, not really concentrating much, still reliving the nightmare that was my life.

The door banged open, startling Lachlan and Mitch out of their sleep and the room was suddenly filled with people dressed in full black. One of them grabbed me and pulled me by the arm into the corner opposite Mitch and Lachlan. All of the other boys were dragged into the corner with Mitch and Lachlan and held still with guns. One of the men walked towards me and I stood up, not wanting to go down without a fight.

"I want you to listen to me and I want you to do what I say." I looked at him, smiling at the fact that he actually believed that I had lost hope. "I'm listening, but I sure as hell won't do what you say." He sighed. "Fine have it your way. We've changed the system and I'm not about to let you ruin it. We're moving you lot away from here." I laughed at him, rolling my eyes mentally at him. "Sure lets see how well that goes. Have fun with trying to get me to cooperate."

"You will cooperate and you will do as I say because you won't have a say in what happens." He raised a gun and pointed it at my head, slightly surprised when I didn't flinch. "I've already given up dude, I know I'm getting out of here alive but it doesn't mean I'm not going down with out a fight."

I launched forwards and grabbed the gun out of his hand, raising it and pointing it at his chest. All the guns that were once pointed at the boys turned on me but I didn't hesitate in pointed the gun at my head, knowing that they still needed me alive. "No! No you don't!" Still holding the gun to my head I grinned "I know you need me alive but I'll let you know I won't be hesitant to use this if any of you do anything to the boys, do you hear me?" The main guy nodded, and I stuffed the gun into my pocket. "I'll be keeping a hold of this." That was the last thing I anyone did before there was a loud gunshot and I collapsed to the floor, bleeding from my thigh.
