Dani's POV

"DANI! Are you almost ready?" My mom yelled.
you see, we just moved to Ohio. My dad left us when i was 7. He was cheating on my mom with his secratary.... doesn't suprise me though. i saw them kissing when i was six, in his office. Anyways my mom got a better job here since he doesn't pay child support... I mean life's not hard but it's not easy either.. he was also a drunk that abused my mom and i so i guess now it's better for us. my mom never left him because we needed the money...
"YEAH, I'LL BE DOWN IN A MINUTE" i yelled back.
I quickly looked a myself in the mirror, my blonde hair down in light curls, i wore dark blue skinny jeans with a over-sized hoodie. I only had mascara on, who was i trying to impress? I ran down stairs to pancakes and bacon. yummmm.
"You never make breakfast, what gives?" I questioned curious.
"I do too make breakfast! But its a great way to start a new year at your new school.."
"Ok mom.." i sighed at the thought of school. i shoved a big bite of pancake and bacon in my mouth then said,
"Bye mom, see you later today.."
"Ok sweetie, dont be grouchy all day ok? Make some friends." Dani's mom slightly smiled.
"I have plenty of friends on instagram." i argued.
"NOT THE SAME."i heard my mom yell as I left the house. I hopped in my car and drove to this new school... McKinley High?
I really don't wanna go.
*** 5 minutes later****
Pulled up to the school and saw kids rushing around everywhere. It was kinda funny because one boy fell. I giggled to myself.
I walked into the school and went to the main office for my schedule. It's 2 months into school so I didn't get my schedule at home..
"Hi sweetie, how may I help you?" A short lady asked me.
"Uhm I'm Dani, the new girl." I said shyly.
"Ah yes Danielle, here are your papers and your locker number/ combo." The lady smiled. I flinched when she said Danielle. I hated it. My dad would call me it instead of Dani.
"Thank you." I nodded.
"Would you like me to call someone down to show you around?" The lady asked before I walked out.
"Uhmm, I could find my way around thank you though."
"Don't be silly. Don't want you being late now. Give me one moment." She smiled
"Ok...." I whispered.
Minutes later, a not so much taller than me brunette came in smiling.
"Hi! I'm Rachel." She said putting out her hand. How is she so cheery?
"Hi I'm Dani." I replied with a slight smile.
"Ok! Let's go!" She said linking arms with me and running out.
"I turned my head back at the office lady and she smiled.
"Ok, can I see your schedule?"
I nodded and a huge smile spread across her face. I was kinda scared..
"We have all the same classes except I have glee 5th period.." She cheered.
"Oh ok cool."
" So where you from?"
"Texas."
"Oh wow that's far." She smiled, "why did you decide to move down to this old boring spot?"
I just shrugged. I don't wanna get into details with some girl I just met.
"Ok well your locker is right here, throw your stuff in and we can go!" Rachel exclaimed.
"Alrighttt."
I literally threw my books in the locker and got my Language Arts notebook.
We walked into the class room and everyone stared.
"Rachel your late." The teacher said.
"I know I'm sorry Mrs. Lyn. I had to get Dani situated." Rachel apologetically smiled at I guess Mrs.Lyn.
"Oh yeah class. We have a new student. This is Dani." Mrs. Lyn smiled.
I waved. A pair of chocolate brown eyes connected with mine. I broke free of the gaze by Mrs. Lyn,
"Ok Dani, you can sit next to Santana.
I looked over to the brown eyes, Santana, and she had a smirk on her face.
"Oh boy." I huffed quietly.
