Chapter 3

After I parked the car on the driveway, Adam went directly to the kitchen to make us dinner.

I know that most of you are saying that, You're lucky because you live by yourselves. You can do whatever you want, whenever you like. Unlike me, living with my family, always saying 'do this, and do that,'  'don't do this, don't do that,' and you have powers too. I wish I have your kind of life. Huhuhu.

No, you're wrong.

I don't want this life. I don't want this power. Any of this.

I miss going home from school, smelling the dinner that my mom was making. The smell of home. I miss watching live games in the living room with my dad. I miss every-f*cking-thing.

I miss my family, my old friends, my old life before my power appeared.

I can still remember everything, still very fresh in my memory like it happened yesterday, even though it had happened a few years back.

I woke up with my alarm clock going off. I slammed my hand on it and it stopped.

I stood up and walked like a zombie to the bathroom.

I stripped my clothes and turned on the shower. I let the warmth of the water wake me.

After I finished, I turned it off then wrapped the towel around my waist. I got out of the bathroom then changed into my usual clothes: a plain shirt, pants and vans shoes.

I walked downstairs and went to the kitchen. I saw my mom and dad in front of the table praying, thanking God for the food that they are about to eat.

Yeah, my parents are very religious.

I grabbed a toasted bread, then put it inside my mouth. I grabbed another two in my right and another two for my left.

I waved at my parents, goodbye.

I walked outside our house admiring the rising sun.

I walked to my school since it's only 10 minutes away from my house.

As I walked, I kept on nibbling at the bread. My blonde hair draped, blocking my red-colored eyes.

Yes, red. It's hard to notice, but if you look close enough, it would appear red. I used to have a hazel ones but it changed a few weeks back. I don't know what caused this, and I was afraid to find out. No one knew this, even my bestfriend.

Annoyed, I flipped my hair causing it to move up, unbloking my sight.

Remind me to get a haircut later.

I was down to one bread when I arrived at the school gate where I was greeted by my friends, including my bestfriend, Adam Williams. I finished my last bread and went to my friends.

We had a little chat, when the bell rang.

"I'll see you later," I said to Adam since we were talking about the events that happened the day before.

"Later," he replied and walked to his room.

I bid farewell to my friends, saying that I'll see them during lunch.
