Chapter 36 ---tinuloy ang naputol na moment(*_*)

Diane’s POV

“okay ka lang?”

Bryan sat next t me, rubbing my shoulder.. I looked at him trying to hold back my tears, if there were tears left..

“y-yes..”

I bit my lower lip because it was shaking the whole time..

“are you sure?”

He held my hand and presse it.. I know how he feels but I also know he was trying to be strong for me.. Oh God! I don’t really know how I would do this without him..

“si Ric?”

I uttered, almost a whisper.. I think, I have lost all my energy because of non-stop crying..

“mamaya lang at lalabas na din siya..”

I nodded..

“Bryan, bakit ganito?? Hindi ba tayo pwedeng maging masaya ng medyo matagal??? Bakit laging may nangyayaring masama pag masaya tayo?? At bakit si Rhian pa??” bakit si Rhian??”

Now tears started to flow.. My eyes finally gave in.. Sarah came rushing with Vince after her.. Umuwi muna sila sandali to change.. pano ba naman kasi?? naki swimming pa nung nahulog si Rhian sa pool.. Her eyes were swollen.. She has obviously cried a lot..

“Diane, si Rhian??”

I shook my head, still my eyes overflowing with tears..

“Vince, si Rhian..”

Sarah pulled Vince to the emergency room but before they could reach the door .. Ric and Rhian came out.... I grudgingly stood up from the bench where I was seated, letting go of Bryan’s hand.. I rushed towards them.. We were all shock to see Rhian here, standing with all her efforts.. sa nangyari sa kanya kanina.. mukhang hindi na niya kaya pa kahit tumayo man lang..

“RHIAN!!!”

I threw her a tight hug when I got to where they were standing.. She smiled helplessly..

“oh! Bakit ganyan ang mga itsura ninyo??tingnan niyo nga, basang basa ng mga luha ang mga mata niyo.. Para kayong namatayan..”

“Rhian, are you okay??”

Sarah asked, not minding what Rhian said.. I looked at Ric who was standing behind Rhian, all so sullen and looking worried.. I studied Rhian’s face.. She’s so pale as if all her blood had left it.. Her lips are dry like she was dehydrated..

“okay lang ako.. ano ba kayo?? Stop worrying.. gusto ko lang kayang mag swimming..”

She tried to smile but even smiling looks like too much of an effort for her..

“guys, mauna na kami.. Rhian was advised to tke some rests..”

Ric said, having no emotion on his face.. I pity him so much.. of all the people here, he must’ve the greatest pain..

“let’s go, Rhian..”

“ohw.. okay!!”

Rhian immediately followed after Ric

“and oh!”

We looked at her and waited

“Please don’t tell my mom and dad what happened..”

She turned around to face us again and smiled..

“pleaaaasssssseeeee!!! Bye! *smile*”

Ric did not say anything and left.. me and Sarah started crying again.. we were all speechless.. ni hindi namin nagawang pagalitan si Rhian for not staying in the hospital..
