Sarah woke to the sound of her alarm clock buzzing loudly. It was 5:30 in the morning as they both had a 7 o'clock call that morning. Lily had stayed the night at Sarah's request. But to be honest Lily was glad, she didn't want to be alone last night either. They slept safe in each others arms, giving them some amount of comfort from the day before. Sarah had thought it best to go to work today as she hoped it would provide as a good distraction from missing Maizie. Sarah rolled over, untangling herself from Lily to turn off the alarm clock. She was a lighter sleeper than Lily and always woke first to the alarm. Sarah turned back towards Lily and just watched her sleep for a moment. She looked so peaceful and carefree, it was a nice contrast to how close to tears she had looked the night before. Sarah wished she could leave Lily in that place of happiness away from the truth of their real life but they had to get up for work. Sarah tucked a strand of Lily's blond wavy hair behind her left ear and kissed her gently, first on the forehead and then on the lips. Lily began to respond, deepening the kiss.

"You can wake me up like that any morning" Lily said with a loving smile, gazing into Sarah's chocolatey eyes. They reminded her of Maizie's, then she remembered that she had gone to her new family. She felt a wave of sadness wash over her. Sarah saw it too.

"What's the matter honey?" Sarah said softly, worried by the expression on Lily's face.

"Remember how I said Maizie had the same eyes as you?" Sarah nodded, a fate smile gracing her face. "Well now yours remind me of her and it just made me miss her that's all." she said still staring into Sarah's eyes. "I love you" she said kissing Sarah on the lips and pulling her into a hug. She needed Sarah today, she needed her embrace and warmth to make her feel safe. Sarah knew this and held Lily close. Lily was strong for her yesterday, today it was her turn.

"Do you want to come and shower with me, it might give you a distraction?" Sarah said playfully. Lily smiled, she appreciated the thought and it would be more time efficient but they had never showered together before.

"Ok, you are my girlfriend now so why not" They got out of bed and went and showered. Lily finished up showering as Sarah went and got dressed. "Can I borrow a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, I didn't bring any as I only came to talk and that was two nights ago". Lily said, Sarah laughed at that, it was true. Lily had come to tell her she loved her and ended up helping her with her new foster daughter and then consoling her all night when she had gone to her new family all within the space of a 48 hour relationship. Nothing like hitting the ground running she thought.

"Sure there are some clothes in the chest of draws but you might be better with shorts or a skirt cause my jeans are probably to short for you".

Sarah went downstairs to make a start on breakfast as there was no point in putting make up on as she was going to become Cordelia in a couple of hours anyway. She decided waffles with berries sounded like a good idea, she could just about master making those without burning them. Lily came into the kitchen dressed in one of Sarah's plain grey t-shirts and a pair of skinny jeans with the bottoms turned up slightly making them look like normal cropped jeans.

"I made your jeans work for me, although I might just bring a few pairs of my own for next time" she said with a cheeky smile.

"There's going to be a next time is there" Sarah asked raising her eyebrows at Lily.

"Well of cause, now you've slept in the comforts of my arms how will you ever sleep again without me?" Sarah huffed playfully at Lily, she had a point though she slept so much better wrapped in Lily's arms. It made her feel safe and grounded.

"Go and sit down and eat your waffles while they're still warm" she said pointing to the plate at the bar counter.

"Gladly" Lily huffed pulling a tung at Sarah.

They decided to take both cars to work today so Lily could go home and get some clothes and Sarah could go straight home and make a start on dinner as it was going to be a late finish tonight and they both had work early the next morning. They had decided it was best to tell people at work that they were a couple rather than try and hide it, particularly as Lily knew she was going to need extra support from Sarah today.

It was lunch time now and it was the first time they'd seen each other since they had left make up together. They seemed to have been filming all morning and on completely different sets. Lily had wrapped 10 minutes ahead of Sarah so had grabbed them some lunch and gone back to her trailer. She had text Sarah and she was on her way now. Sarah knocked and came in, collapsing across the sofa and Lily.

"It's hard work being blind and so disorienting trying to remember where all the furniture on set is. Also when did outside become so bright?"

Lily laughed, "glad you've been having a good time. I've been busy as well, it's been a good day so far. But I wouldn't mind a cuddle with lunch" Sarah sat up and pulled Lily towards her wrapping her arms securely around her and rubbing smooth circles into her back. She heard Lily sniff a few times.

"I miss her Sarah, I know we only had her for a short while but there are so many people here I wanted her to meet. Imagine how excited Jessica would have been to spend time with her and show her off to the rest of the cast. I hope she's happy with her new family."

"I hope so too sweetheart, I hope so too" Sarah said trying to keep her own tears at bay. She needed to be strong for Lily.
