"Let me see your phone."

"Why?"

"I'm gonna add you on snapchat."

"Okay."

The two new friends were sitting in the back of Jane's car. They were currently third and fourth wheeling it. Jane was in the front seat chatting a guy up. He was new to their group and Jane was all heart eyes about him. So, while they chatted in the front seat. Donnie and Nick were goofing off in the back.

They had all went to the movies to watch Insurgent. Just as Donnie had predicted, she hated it. The movie was no where near as good as the book was.

"Okay, I added myself." Nick said.

And after that night, they never stopped snapping each other. They would usually text from it but would occasionally send silly pictures of each other. There was never a day that went by that they weren't talking.

It wasn't long until Jane noticed.

"Gee, y'all sure are talking a lot." She said suspiciously as they drove around.

"Yeah." Donnie replied as she typed a reply to him.

They were currently in a debate about who was better: Spiderman or Batman.

Batman was the obvious CORRECT answer.

"When are you going to admit you like him?" Jane suddenly said.

Donnie put her phone down and immediately went into defensive mode.
"I do not like him! We're just friends."

Jane rolled her eyes, "Whatever you say."

Donnie didn't like him! They were just casual friends. They clicked and they talked a lot. So what?

But deep deep down inside, Donnie knew she liked him. They had been only talking for three weeks and she couldn't imagine not talking to him everyday. Maybe if Donnie confessed that she liked someone else, Jane would leave her be.

"Besides, I already like someone else." Donnie said.

Jane's ears perked up. "Oh yeah? Who is it?"

Donnie faked a blush and pretended not to want to tell her. She stayed quiet for a while. There was a little part of her wanting to confess who she really liked but that was quickly shoved aside.

"Oh you know...it might be Jacob."

Jane shook her head, "I saw that coming."

"You did?" Donnie could not fake the surprise in her voice. Had Jane really suspect that Donnie would develop a crush on Jacob? Boy was she in for a surprise if she ever decided to tell her the truth.

"Yeah. He's a good guy and we've all been hanging out so I kind of saw it coming." Jane explained.

Donnie had no reply to that. She stayed quiet for the rest of ride home. Jane, however, talked on about what's going on at home.

Donnie felt bad for not listening to her story but too much was on her mind. She just lied to her best friend. And she had this huge crush on a guy that seemed too good to be true.

Jane has also expressed her opinion of him. He was a good friend but she didn't find him attractive at all. Donnie felt as if it wasn't fair when Jane was talking like that cause she didn't know him.

Sure, he wasn't a super model. But Donnie could not care less about that. The fact that they could talk and that he was a genuine guy made him attractive. And the more she got to know him, the more she was attracted to him.

That's why they've been inseparable since the first day. They have talked and talked their little hearts out. And Donnie hoped one day, she would have the guts to tell someone that she had a crush on Nick.
