C H A P T E R 10 - Realistic Fantasy

Drip...

Drip...

Drip...

"What is that?"

My surroundings feel bizarre and I can't see much. Looking back and forth everywhere I turn, I see more darkness. It's pitch-black.

"Where am I?"

I'm lost, yet I feel myself moving. I'm walking...in water? My feet are wet.

No.
This is thicker and warm. Is this...blood, but why? I step back trying to get away, only to see there's more. Running through the blood, I try to escape my gloomy surroundings. I'm getting nowhere, my running seems to be infinite. I get more blood on myself with every step I take. The air turns cold and ominous, giving my body never ending chills.

Out in the distance I see something. Thinking it's a person I run to it. Finally reaching the object I realize its just a full length mirror. Walking closer to the mirror. I only see myself.

Just then the mirror begins to shake violently, almost as if there were an earthquake. Though the ground isn't moving. Soon after, the mirror starts to emit this light. Which started small but kept growing. It became so bright I had to turn away.

When I sense the light vanished I look back into the mirror and see... Naruto! Something's different, Naruto doesn't look like himself. His once blue eyes are now a blazing red. It's as if the nine tails has taken control of him. Within his eyes I see rage, but there's also a look of sadness. Could Naruto be lost within himself?

Moving myself closer to the mirror, I slowly lift my hand and try to touch Naruto's face. Getting closer and closer, right before my hand touches naruto. My hand barely on the mirror, it suddenly cracks. The entire thing is broken. I stand there in shock. Stepping back, my foot lands on a glass shard. I feel a sharp pain. I look down to find a piece of glass lodged in my left arm. Another flew into my right leg, then another in my lower abdomen.

'What is going on?!'

More keep piercing my skin. Struggling to hold back my cries of pain. I feel my entire body weaken as I fall backward. Time slowing down right before I feel my back hit the blood-covered-ground. Blood is all over me, although I guess that doesn't matter now.

'I can't get up'

Thinking that it's over I close my eyes. The ground beneath me changes. I'm sinking, I'm drowning. The ground had transformed into a sea. A sea? Yes, of water? No. It's blood, why blood? Sinking deeper with no hope of ever reaching the surface. I just let myself go and stopped struggling. I would die here and end everything, including my pain.
. . .

A hand? Someone is pulling me.

Who?

This person turns to look at me, but I see nothing. For my sight is too blurry.

Who is it?

Gasping for air as I pant rapidly. Sweat covering my forehead. Eyes wide and chest heaving up and down. I'm finally able to get ahold of myself.

"It...was just a dream, it felt so real."

I look down at my hand, wondering who it was that saved me. Wondering why I had a dream like that and wondering if there was a message behind it.

'This dream'

An image of 'him' in the mirror flashed across my mind.

"Naruto" I wisper to myself.

Time has passed ever since our first date. From there we had become boyfriend and girlfriend. Though it's not like we rushed into things. Our relationship is a good one, we still act like ourselves even though we're a couple. I care for Naruto and would never want anything bad to happen to him.

Just thinking about it upsets me. That's why having a dream like that. Where Naruto's involved, worries me. I lie back down and try to go back to sleep. After laying there for five minutes I realize that's not going to happen. Standing on my feet I decide to go for a walk.

'Maby that'll help clear my head'

Before leaving I throw on a jacket. Underneath I have on my PJ's, which are soft black pants and a white t-shirt. As I walk around I take note of how quiet it is. The low sound of crickets are the only things I hear, besides my own foot steps. I keep walk-ing untill I reach the entrance of the village.

Seeing those big gates reminded me of the first time I was brought here. Guess I should turn back now, it's really late.

"UGH!!!" my voice resonated off the walls of buildings near by. Though it seems no one heard me. Feeling a striking pain at the back of the head, I fall forward. Hitting the ground roughly. My vision starts to get blurry as I struggle to keep myself awake. I see a figure walking towards me. I black out losing sense of every thing around me.

'Great... what now?'
