C H A P T E R 14 - I'm Falling Apart

Naruto P.O.V

Dashing out of the leaf village with my team beside me. We move through the trees, jumping from one branch to another.

My team included Kiba, Hinata, and Shino, they were obvioulsy assigned to this mission because of their tracking ability. Kiba and Akamaru can find anyone by following their scent. Hinata has her byakugan and Shino can look through and search for people using his many insects. Not to mention lady Tsunade allowed Sakura to come along, knowing her medical skills could be useful. As of now we are quickly following behind Kiba and Akamaru while they try to track (Name's) scent.

I can't stop thinking about her. Every moment that passes by without (Name) here is another moment I feel she's slipping away from me. I keep asking myself why someone would want to take (Name) away? That's when I remember what granny Tsunade told me before I left for the mission.

- Flashback -

"Hurry Naruto, you need to leave as soon as possible" said Tsunade.

"Wait! Tell me why someone would do this. Why would they take (Name)!!?" I exclaim.

"There are many reasons as to why a person would kidnap someone. Although in (Name's) case I'd say its because of her inostuka." Granny Tsunade explained.

"So they just want her power?" I asked

"I'd say so, wether they plan to use (Name) or take her inotsuka, whatever they do will be to their advantage. The inotsuka is not only powerful but rare, knowing (Name) is the only person left from the Tsuko clan. Only making her ability all the more special. Either way we can't let this go, the inotsuka belongs to (Name), and (Name) belongs in the hidden leaf. We can't let an enemy get their hands on that kind of power. Bring her back, no matter what."
- End of flashback -

Remembering that conversation I know how important this mission is. Not only will I find (Name) and bring her back, I'll also keep the village safe.

'I'm coming (Name), wait for me.'

(Name) P.O.V

Striking pain resonates through out my body as Rui continues to "play" with me. I am no longer tied to a chair, instead I'm hanging from the ceiling with my arms tied above me head. Another aching pain is sent into my left leg. Looking down I watch my leg bleed. The crimson blood making its way down to my foot. Before dripping off, making a splat on the ground that my feet can barely touch.

This has been going on for the past few hours. Rui thought it would be "fun" to use me for target practice. I officially hate her with a burning passion!

She comes closer getting ready to throw more kunai at me. Rui has three in between the knuckles of her hand. With one swift movement from her arm, all three kunai get lodged into me. One in my shoulder, another in my arm, and the last one hit the right side of my mid-section.

There are many other kunai still stuck within me from before. My skin is covered in blood and even the slightest movement causes me pain. It feels as if every cell in my body is in agony. By this time I'm already crying, although with everything that Rui has done to me, I didn't scream. I refuse to give her that satisfaction. I won't give in so easily, but for how much longer? I can't keep this up forever.

I can start to feel myself falling apart. Almost as if I were a crooked picture hanging on a wall- so out of place. Being here like this makes me feel isolated and alone. Just how I was in Orochimaru's hideout. No one to be with, no place to call my true home. Is there even a place for me in this world? I guess i wouldn't know, its been so long since I've felt at home. With my actual family. I began to feel at home in the leaf village. Thinking I would get a new shot at life, but I spoke too soon. Getting taken away from that aswell.

Leaving my thoughts, I see Rui has stopped throwing kunai at my bleeding form. Thinking she's done with me for the day I let out a small sigh in relief. Boy was I wrong, she instead comes up to me and begins putting small cuts on the surface of my skin. Cutting deep enough to see my red liquid ooze out of me. Clenching my jaw, I grit my teeth in pain.

Another tear falls out of my eye before I barely wisper...

"Where are you...Naruto?"
