Chapter 7

While we were waiting for Kara to come home after dinner, we sat on her couch and watched tv. When Kara got home she sat with us for a while. I started getting kind of tired, but I still stayed there. Kara was letting me lay on her lap and because of that I fell asleep on the couch. She carried me to my bed and carefully tucked me in. I didn't wake up the whole time.

The next morning Kara and Alex both got up early to go to work, so I missed them both. I spent the day running errands with Eliza, who is actually my grandma, then I helped her make dinner. She taught me how to make chicken and gravy. She also taught me how to make her famous chocolate pecan pie, it's Kara's favorite.

When Kara and Alex got home, Eliza and I were sitting on the couch watching food network and eating popcorn.

When they saw all the food, their mouths were watering.

"Productive day I see," Kara said getting water out of the fridge." Mom, you let Mora talk you into getting pudding and cookies!"
"Yeah, so what?" She replied.
"Ugh, mom you spoil her!" Kara said.
"I'm sorry, she's very convincing," Eliza said making everyone look at me. So I smiled.
"Fine, well next time Alex is going grocery shopping!" Kara said.
"Why me?" Alex asked.
"Because I would probably give in to her too, but your rock solid," Kara replied.
"Thanks?" Alex said wondering if that was a compliment.
"So what are we doing tomorrow?" I asked.
"Um, going to work and you're staying home with Eliza again," Kara replied.
"Oh," I said.
"Maybe we can go somewhere?" Eliza said.
"Like where?" I asked.
"I don't know, Kara what is there to do here?" Eliza asked.
"Umm... nothing really," Kara responded.
"Ok well we could do something here at home?" I said.
"Yeah, we could do a craft or bake?" Eliza said.
"Ok," I said.
"Can we eat? I'm really hungry," Kara asked.
"Yes, Mora and I made a great dinner for us all!" Eliza replied.
