Chapter 9

After breakfast Alex made a call to her workplace and asked if she could bring me in.
"I promise she won't break anything or get in our way," I heard Alex say from the other room.
"She might even be of some help to our little problem," she said.
"Yay, thanks!" She finally said.
When she came back in I acted like I hadn't heard anything.
"So, Mora, get changed because you're coming to work with me today so mom can have a day to herself," Alex told me.
"Yay," both grandma and I said.

When we got to the DEO, Alex showed me around and introduced me to Hank Henshaw (aka the green Martian), Agent Vasquez, and Dr. Hamilton. Then she taught me how to work all of the cool computers in the main area so that I could help them catch bad guys.

Third person POV

Around noon Kara came by to check for crime, but all she got was a pile up by the mall. She got down there as fast as she could and saved the day. When she was about to leave she saw two guys appear, one in the air and the other running at the speed of light.
"Who are these guys?" Winn asked Alex.
"I don't know," she said.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?" They heard Kara ask through the microphone.
"We want revenge on Alura Zor- El," one of them said.
"We are the scare pair," the other one said.
"How do you know my mother's name?" Kara asked.
"You don't forget the name of the women who sent you to prison very easily," the first one said.
"If we can't kill her, killing you will have to do," the second one said.
All of a sudden there was a line of heat vision coming at her. She quickly fired back and their heat lines connected. Before she could figure out why, she was lifted into the air.
"I'm not trying to fly," Kara told Alex.
"I think the other guy lifted you into the air with telekinesis," Alex said as he came hurtling towards her. He knocked her into a wall and picked her up again. He threw her through a couple more walls until she was laying there unable to get up. After a few seconds, Kara finally passed out from the pain. When she woke up, she was in the DEO with me sitting at her side.
"Alex!" I yelled," she's awake!"
Alex ran into the room with Dr. Hamilton. They quickly checked her wounds, which were healed, and they checked her vitals, which were normal.
"You're free to go," Dr. Hamilton said.
"Great, thanks," Kara said,"I'm going back to work."
"What? No you're not," Alex said.
"Why not?" Kara responded.
"You are not in good condition to go back to work," Alex said.
"But Dr. Hamilton said I could go," Kara said.
"Yeah that means go home and take it easy, not go back to normal," Alex replied.
"But I have to go back to work or I'll get fired," Kara said.
"How about I go with mommy and be her assistant," Mora said to Alex.
"Yeah that's a good idea!" Kara said.
"Ok fine," Alex agreed.
