Chapter 12

The next day
I woke up at 9:30. I went out to the kitchen to find mommy sitting there in her pajamas with a cup of coffee.
"Good morning," I said making her jump a little.
"Oh you scared me," mommy said lifting me onto her lap," good morning."
"What are we going to do today?" I asked.
"Well, school starts in a few weeks and we need to go shopping for school supplies," Mommy replied.
"Oh ok," I said a little disappointed.
"But I think we will do that this weekend, because I think Cat wants you to come back today," Mommy said sensing my disappointment.
"Ok," I agreed.
"How about if we leave early and go buy some toys for you to play with there?" Mommy asked.
"Yay!" I exclaimed.
Kara's POV
When we got to the toy store, Mora ran off in all different directions dazed by all the toys.
"You can pick out five toys," I told her when I finally caught up with her.
After 15 minutes, she came running back to me with a teddy bear, a puzzle, a doll, a dollhouse, and a small plastic tricycle.
"All done?" I asked.
"Uh huh," she said.
As I walked up to pay I saw Mora's eyes widen when she saw a Lego friends princess castle set.
"Mommy can I get that?" She asked me as she turned towards me with a puppy dog face.
"Honey you already got your five things," I told her trying to stay strong from her puppy dog face.
"Please," she begged pulling on my arm.
"Mora," I started to say, and then I saw her lip starting to quiver and that's where I lost it, "fine," I said regretting it.
"Yay! Thank you," she said to me, very excited.
When we got into the car she took out her teddy bear and held it as I strapped her into her car seat.
"Maybe when we get to my office you can show Winn," I said knowing how happy she would be if he could. She really loves Winn, probably because he has a bunch of toys and has the same maturity level with Mora.
"Yeah," she said.
When we got to Cat co, after stopping at noonans for Cat's coffee and some milk for Mora, Mora ran straight to Winn's desk with her bear in one hand and the Lego set in the other.
"Winn! Winn!" Mora said.
"Mora! Mora!" He replied.
"Look what I got," she said putting the Lego set on his desk showing him.
"Wow did mommy get that for you?" Winn asked her.
"Yeah!" Mora replied, "will you build it with me pretty please?"
"Sure," Winn replied.
"Yay!" Mora said about to pour them out.
"Wait a minute squirt how about tonight I come to your house and help you build it there?" Winn suggested.
"Why not now?" Mora asked.
"Because Winn needs to work now honey," I said sitting at my desk.
"Aww," she pouted.
"Here play with these," I said giving her the dolls and puzzle.
"Ok," she said grabbing the dolls.

Authors note: hey guys I think I'm going to do most of the story in Kara's POV now please comment if you think that's a bad idea. Also I have made a change that will definitely change a lot. I decided I wanted Mora to be younger so she is 4 now and Kara treats her like her daughter.
