"Good morning," he says as I approach him.

"Good morning," I say and wait for him to introduce me to the man with him.

"Mia, this is Jay. Jay, Mia."

I shake the man's hand and return his smile.

"Nice to meet you," I say.

"Likewise," he grins.

The man is older. Not old. But diffently in his mid thirties. He has a handsome face and lovely chocolate brown skin. In his dark eyes is a hint of wisdom and strength.

"I've heard a lot of good things about you," Jay says.

I wonder what exactly he has heard. My eyes dart from Lex to Jay.

"Good things I hope," I say shyly.

Jay's grin grows wider. "Always. Lex knows better than to put down a lady around me."

"Yeah, yeah," Lex mumbles.

I immediately like Jay. He is a likeable person but he also seems to be able to put Lex in his place, it seems. Not many people dare to do that. But Jay doesn't seem the least bit intimidated by Lex.

"Hey," I say to get Lex's attention. "you have some pretty rude people up front. They thought I was a...." I stop because Jay is also listening. "Not so nice a person."

Both men chuckle at me. Jay moves to go grab a towel and Lex still sitting on the weight bench reaches out to grab me by the hips. He pulls me to him. I stand in between his legs.

"I'm sorry. I told them I had a young lady staying with me. I gave them your name but they wouldn't have known who you were until you gave your name. It was a mistake, baby. It won't happen again."

I completely forget how offended I was just minutes ago. I bend down to kiss his lips. His hands move to my ass and he gives it a little squeeze. Jay clears his throat. I blush. Lex just grins and give me a swat on my behind. I yelp.

"Jess and Chris want to meet us for lunch," I tell Lex, in hopes that he will hurry up with his work out.

I am literally starving now. But my stomach doesn't trust me enough to tell him myself, so it growls loudly. How embarrassing! Lex's eyes meet mine, his full of humor and mine widen with embarrassment.

"I'll tell you what," Lex says. "Give about thirty more here and I'll come up and bring you something to hold you over until time to meet up with them."

"Deal," I say. "Bring me a muffin. Blueberry."

He grins. "Anything else?"

"Nope. That'll be it, sir. Thank you," I tease back.

"You got it. But before you go, do you have a bathing suit?"

I raise a brow. "Why?"

He shrugs. "Thought we might go to the pool later."

"But don't you have to work later?" I ask.

"Not until later on."

"Alright, I'll ask Jessy to bring it."

He gives me a quick kiss and swats my bottom again, sending me off. I wave at Jay before I let the door close behind me.
On the outside of the room, I watch for another moment as Lex beings to lift the bar again. I'm not lying when I say, I could watch him do this all day. He's just so damn hot. I'm afraid that they might see me so, I head back to the front lobby. The rude man, that had assumed the worst of me, doesn't make eye contact with me as I return to the lobby. When the elevator door opens, I grab my phone out of my back pocket.
