In the hours that lead to the event, Candice and I moved to the spare room on the ground floor to get ready. We laughed as Candice tried on different dresses and shoes whilst pulling funny faces and making outrageous poses. The room was littered with clothing, shoes, purses, make-up and sprays as we giggled like two school girls at a sleepover.

"PRIMADONNA GIRL YEAH, ALL I EVER WANTED WAS THE WORLD"

As the song rang loudly in the room, Candice and I jumped up with a scream whilst jumping up and down at the sound of the music.

"Where is that coming from?" I asked Candice as the sound filled the entire room. Candice pointed to speakers in the ceiling and looked back at me with a smile.

"Chase!" I exclaimed with a smile and immediately ran out of the room in search for him.

I found him in the kitchen with a knife in his hand as he prepared treats. The bench was covered in wine, fruit and cheeses and I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Chase Thomas slaving away in a kitchen.

"Should I be scared?" I asked him with a cheeky grin.

"What? You think Mrs Wilson is the only person in this house who can prepare food?" he asked, with a serious look on his face.

"Yup!" I replied, now giggling at him.

"I'll have you know that I am the finest Mimosa maker in all of Beverly Hills" he stated matter of factly.

"Sure you are" I sarcastically chimed.

"Come and see for yourself" He said as he handed me a glass of pink champaine that was infused with fruits and frozen berry sorbet. I was amazed as the drink hit my taste buds - It tasted like pure heaven.

"I'm sorry for doubting your amazing skills Chase" Chase sarcastically chimed as he basked in his own accomplishment.

"That's really good!" I exclaimed, finishing the drink in all of three sips.

"Good! The 'getting ready party' has now begun!" he said through a large smile as he handed me two glasses full of the heavenly liquid and then softly pushed me toward the doorway. "So go and get ready!" he exclaimed, now laughing as he shooed me away.

After leaving the kitchen, Chase returned to what he was doing before I interrupted him. I quickly ducked my head back around the corner of the kitchen doorway and chimed "Leave the goodies at the door please Sir! No peeking inside our room!"

Chase turned to face me with a startled expression before relaxing and allowing a huge smile to engross his face. "Yes Madam, now shoo!" he demanded with a small laugh.

I wasted no time ducking back out of sight, giggling as I did and headed back to the room with Candice to finish getting ready.

After plucking, primping, shaving, curling, brushing, spraying and painting we stood together to inspect our reflections in the mirror.

"Wow" I gushed as I took in my reflection. I had never seen myself this way before. The soft yellow satin hugged my curves and draped on the floor behind me. My blonde hair was loosely pinned with a few random strands falling around my face in a soft wave, slightly curtaining it. I turned to inspect the back of my dress which was completely open to the mid of my back. Small pearls detailed the dress beautifully and encircled my naked back, softly highlighting it. I never knew I could look so... beautiful.

I felt like a princess as I turned to an equally stunning Candice who was wearing a bright green dress that hugged her body closely and sat high on her thighs. The magnificent dress was laced with a gold pattern that looked as though it was engulfing the green like a vine slowly creeping on a wall. Her arms were covered to the wrist in the gold, see through material that shone in the light and made its way up to her neck, housing it in a slight collar. Her chest remained open as the dress formed into a plunging neck line leaving little to the imagination. She looked like she had stepped straight off a runway with her long brown hair pulled into a sleek pony tail, quiffed at the front. Her olive skin popped against the gold and green and a golden, strapped heel topped her outfit completely.

"Are you going to tell me what is going on with you and Chase?" Candice asked, looking to me in anticipation of my reply.

A little shaken from her question, I simply replied "I don't really know, when I know, you'll know."

Truthfully, I hadn't prepared myself for any questions about what was happening with Chase and I. I wasn't really ready to invite anyone into our little bubble and confuse the situation more than it already was. Fear ran through me as I considered the possibility of being thrown into the spotlight as someone Chase was dating. The picture Franca showed me was enough and that was headed 'Mystery Woman'. I couldn't imagine my name all over the headlines - just the thought of it made me feel ill.

"You'd better tell me everything!" Candice demanded whilst showing off her perfect smile.

"I will, in time" I replied, smiling back at her.

"Okay, well, I think these two princesses are ready for the ball!" she exclaimed whilst taking my hand and ushering me from the room.
