An Unlikely Song (Lapidot High School AU)

Another Morning (1)

Peridot's POV

     The blaring ring of my phone alarm fills my ears. Ugh, school's starting today. I slam my hand on my phone to shut off the alarm. Groggily, I get up and get dressed in my favorite green hoodie and baggy jeans, while trying to step around all the Mountain Dew cans and empty Dorito bags on my floor. After styling my hair into a diamond like shape, I slip on my green converse and walk down stairs for some breakfast. Silence fills the room as I eat alone. I don't mind living alone actually. Its quiet peaceful not having to deal with noise or complaining from someone else.

     I look up and to check the time. 7:15 Shit I'm going to be late! I sling my bag over my shoulder and rush out the door, making sure to lock it. Hopping into my car, I drive off towards the school. Hopefully my grade full of clods will be bearable this year. Or at least for me to not having any classes with Jasper, though both of those are highly unlikely. I pull up to the familiar parking lot of the school.

     I walk in through the school's main entrance and put on my headphones and select shuffle, drowning out the noise of the busy hallway.

Sick of all these people talkin,

Sick of all this noise

Tired of all these cameras flashing,

Sick of being poised

     While humming to myself to the song, I slam into someone and fall right on my face. I shakily stand up, still in a slight daze.

     "Watch where you're going you clod!" I yell out whoever ran into me. Then again I wasn't really paying attention but it's too late to not blame them now.

     "You're the one who was looking down at your feet!" I look up at them and the person I bumped into was a girl, and I won't lie, she's pretty attractive. She had short blue hair wearing a blue shirt with a dark blue diamond in the middle and skinny jeans. I know I've seen her before in class, but I've never bothered to learn her name. Before I could respond, she walked off down the hallway.

     Looks like I've already made trouble with someone this year.
