Peridots POV

I stumble into school, exhausted from last nights' events, half a bottle of Mountain Dew in my hand. Then again, if I wasn't at the concert I'd probably just be up till 4 a.m. playing Fallout 4 or GTA V. Before I can open my locker, I'm distracted by a certain clod in a red hoodie.

"Hey 'Dot! How'd you like the concert last night?"

"Crimson, I have no patience nor mental ability to deal with your chatter at this moment." I glance over to see Crimson in a usual red and black combo with the previously mentioned hoodie and black athletic sweatpants. Topping it off with a head full of messy hair and the slightest look of fatigue with her crooked smile. "Come to think of it, where's everyone else? I've been bumping into you a lot but not really them."

"Well, Sunstone and Moonstone are probably off being gay somewhere but will deny it later, and 'Sid is either pulling a prank or getting into a fight. Depends on the day. As for me I am here talking to you." During her small tangent I managed to grab all the books I need for the first half of the day. I close my locker and begin to walk towards first period. "See yeah 'Dot!" I give a weak wave a grumble. Crimson is way to persistent when it comes to social interaction with me. I guess it's better than being alone all the time.

I enter the classroom and plop myself down in my seat. I immediately slam my head on my desk and block out everyone with my headphones. Before I can submerge myself fully into the upbeat tones of my music I feel something light bounce off my head. I attempt to ignore it, but I feel another hit, and another, and another. I move my head to the side to face the one who has been assaulting me with these projectiles. Of course, it's the bluenette singer herself, the only thing between us is an empty desk. I notice her wearing an unzipped blue jacket with a gray undershirt, along with some black leggings and combat boots. She smirks as she picks up her backpack, about to place it on the unoccupied desk.

"If you make on move closer to me I will chuck all of you personal belongings out the window." Despite my threat she persist on moving towards me as she places her items to the side of the desk farthest from me and leisurely plops down in the chair, leaning back slightly.

"Lighten up Peri, it's not like I'm straddling you or anything." She flashes her signature smirk as my cheeks become Crimson's hoodie. I plant my face back onto the desk in attempt to cool it a bit. "What's wrong Peri? Is someone embarrassed, or wishing it was true?" I can hear that sly grin with every word that dances out of her mouth. Before I can make any sort of remark she snatches my headphones of my head and covers her own ears with them.

We'll kill the night and we'll never see the sun
(Every day and night going crazy)
And I'll call the shots, don't you tell me when I'm done
(Live it up, this life is amazing)
Hey! Diddle diddle won't you meet me in the middle
Let the music make you fly
Don't need to show no mercy
'Cause heroes never die

I jump up and attempt to snatch them before she can hear anything to embarrassing. The universe seems to not be in my favor today as she holds me back with her hand on my face as I feebly attempt to reach my one connection to sanity. I notice her usual sarcastic grin fade more into a content smile, her feet tapping along to the rhythm of the song playing. She removes on headphone from her ear and looks over to me. "I'm surprised Peri. I expected some weird outlandish shit for you to be listening to. I did think you'd be the type to enjoy rock music." My face burns up, redder than before as I slouch back into my seat. I still feel embarrassed for some reason but also strangely joyed by the approve of the bluenette next to me. She take off my headphones and tosses them back to me which I haphazardly catch. "You earned my respect music wise, dork."

I pause the sounds emitting from my headphones and return them to their resting place around my neck. I clear my throat, still feeling a slight burning sensation in my cheeks. "Thank you for the compliment Lazuli. Your performance last night was better than I expected."

"Hell yeah it was!" Her usual sly grin returns which causes me to default back to my glare and scowl.

"Might I asked why you decided to seat yourself in my vicinity?"

"Well Ms. Thesaurus.com, I thought  that since we'll be working on a project together for a while and that since you're bound to show up to another show, why not get to know each other better?" I scan her expression to attempt to find some sort of joking matter. Whether for better or worse she seemed to be honest will her explanation. I sigh and rest my head on the table supported by my arms.

"I'll by that for it for now Lazuli. Your reasoning might be beneficial for the project. Though I have on last question for you." She gestures her hand to me in sort of a 'go ahead' manner. "How many idiotically cloddy nicknames are you going to come up with and call me?" I scowl at her as she burst in laughter, a slight blush across her cheeks.

"Oh enough my small, gremlin friend."
