Peridot's POV
They continue to play song after song. I won't lie, they're really good at what they do, great I might even say. They're all in sync yet unique with they're separate parts and instruments. Along with brilliant harmonies leveling each other out. I can tell their personalities by their style of playing. The drummer is a bit wild, but still aware of everything and helps hold it together, and comes in when you least expect. The pianist is graceful and intricate but can break from the comfort zone from time to time. Bassist calm and not afraid to improvise, almost like she's one step ahead of everyone. The guitarist next to her has a bit more of a passion to her playing, almost like a flame, them balancing each other out perfectly. One member looked more masculine than the other five, also shorter. He was on an acoustic-electric guitar having a carefree and almost innocent sound to him. Lastly, there was Lazuli, her voice powerful, with a sense of emotion in it. You can feel everything she projects into her singing. I won't lie, the way the lighting strikes her flatters her figure well. I sigh quietly, grateful for the little lighting there is on the audience.
Eventually the last song fades out into the crowd. By this time no one is still seated like in the beginning of the show. Everyone's cheering, more than half the people drunk and the rest on their way there. I get up out of my seat, my legs almost asleep from sitting for so long. While attempting to walk, I step and slip on what I can assume is an aluminum can (most likely alcoholic). As I get up, I see a hand reach out in front of my face.
"Damn Per, didn't think you'd be the one to get wasted." I look up to see Crimson. I take her hand as she pulls me up.
"For the record, I have never consumed a drop of alcohol in my life." She chuckles as I dust myself off. Just great, there's beer all over the front of my shirt. We begin to walk out, Crimson rambling about the show and something about musicals. That's when another voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Seems like you two enjoyed the show." Crimson and I turn to see none other than the lead singer herself. I clear my throat
"I assume that this is why we couldn't work on our project tonight. And you were the reason why that flyer was in my backpack." She places a hand on her chest with a half-asses confused expression.
"What? How could you suspect me for doing such a thing?" I narrow my eyes, growling slightly. I don't have time for this, I've got school tomorrow and I barely get sleep as it is. I start walking away again, leaving the two where they were. I hear one of them start running over to catch up with me. "Wait hold up! I wanted to talk to you!" I stop and turn my head towards her.
"Make it quick." She looks surprised for a second, not sure if it's because I stopped or because of my harsh tone. But quickly masked it with her usual smirk.
"I wanted you to come tonight. Mostly cause you seem like the kind of person who doesn't have much fun outside their bedroom. Also to show what you're working with when it comes to our project." She winks at me. My cheeks start turning red and I continue walking out of the building. "See yah tomorrow Peri!"
"Don't call me that!" I yell back at her, not bothering to turn around. As I walk I think I hear her singing one of the songs she played during the show. 'Something Something Young to Die' I believe? I don't know, nor do I really care. Though I hate to admit it...
I am glad that I came tonight.
