I stood up at the same time Jason and Rachel did. I looked around at the bar to see if anyone has noticed our predicament. No one even spared us a glance. I turned my attention back to the two men who thought they're slick with a simple hidden knife.

The barmaid saw my empty shot glass and hurried to get my second one. I pulled some money out and set it on the counter. The barmaid quickly scooped up the money as if I'll take it back or something. She walked away to serve another customer.

I smirked at the two men. "Is there a problem here, boys?" I asked lightly. The one with mismatched eyes glared at me. He had one brown eye and one icy blue coloured eye which were similar to mine except mine weren't as creepy. "Get lost, boy!" the second guy snaped at me.

I chuckled at their stupidity. "I don't think so. I'm not a person you want to screw around with." I glared a the two. "Well let me introduce myself: I'm Salix and you are?" The disgust was clear in my voice.

"Tad." said the guy with mismatched eyes. He stared suspiciously at me.

"Kale." the second one replied, trying to sound all tough.  I stared at Kale.

'Isn't Kale like a vegetable or something?'

Kale's head snapped to the side with he hears footsteps approaching from the side. It was Ferrin. 'Huh, took him long enough'

Ferrin observed our little situation and turned to Jason. "Do you mind if I maim your friends?" Ferrin asked Jason ever so politely with as much sarcasm as possible. Jason pretended to think about it. "Sure why not?"

I grinned at the two men just as the shorter of the two men threw a punch at Ferrin's head, hoping to knock him out. Ferrin ducked and threw his own punch at Tad's head causing him to go sprawling onto the floor.

I grabbed my shot glass, emptying it in one gulp. I set the glass back down on the counter and wiped my mouth. I smirked and did a round house kick to Kale's ribs. He stumbled, clutching his side in pain. He pulled his sword out of it's sheath but I did a front kick causing the sword to fly up into the air and land a few feet behind Kale with a clatter.

Kale charged me and I moved to the side but not fast enough. Kale slammed his fist into my jaw, busting my lip and no doubt he left a large bruise. I stumbled back, touching my busted lip. I felt a bit of blood drip down my chin. I glared at Kale and growled. I threw myself at Kale and twisted his arm behind his back. I kicked both of his knees out from underneath him. As he fell to the floor, I flipped him onto his back. I pressed a foot Kale's neck. He grunted as his head hit the floor with a thump. He looked up at me in shock and realization.

"Y-You're a woman." Kale stuttered in surprise. I glared harshly down at him. "Yeah so what? You got a problem with it, you fucker?" I hissed back. "And before you open your mouth just remember this woman kicked your ass without having to try!"

Kale opened his mouth to reply but before he could a loud voice boomed. "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!"

My head jerked up at the loudness. I now realized that the bar went dead silent. Everyone was staring at us to see how this will play out. A tall man who wore what looked to be like a police officers uniform stood in front of the five of us. He glared at each of us in turn. Tad stood up, clutching his arm. There was a long cut running down his right arm, dripping crimson blood onto the floor. No doubt it was from the knife that he tried to stab Jason and Ferrin with.
