When I woke up in the morning, I got dressed and went downstairs for breakfast. Mom, dad and Jane were already seated for breakfast.

"That reminds me, Lola called and she's picking you up" mom said. There was a honking coming from outside.

"Have a good day, honey" dad said.

"Yes Marnie, do have a lovely day" Jane said. I just rolled my eyes and went out the door. Lola was parked in front of the house. I got inside the car.

"Okay, so we have some catching up to do" Lola said as she started to drive.

"Gee, good morning to you too Lola" I said.

"Good morning Marnie, now tell me. How was your date with Andrew on Saturday?" Lola asked

"I'm not interested in him" I said.

"Good. You and Paul make such a cute couple. Andrew was just going to ruin everything. So, how are you and Paul?" Lola asked

"Well, I have some news about us. First of all, I'm pregnant" I said. Lola slammed the brakes as we came into the school parking lot.

"You're pregnant!?" Lola shouted. I clamped my hand over her mouth.

"You don't have to announce it to the whole school" I said. Lola licked my hand causing me to remove it from her mouth.

"Sorry, but seriously. You're pregnant! Is it Paul's?" Lola asked

"Yeah. Let's go inside" I said. Lola and I stepped out of the car and made our way inside. We passed Paul on the way.

"Miss Rowe, I need to see you in my classroom right away" he said with a wink. I smiled and nodded. Lola looked at me with a smirk.

"Go get some" she whispered in my ear. I shook my head at her as I followed Paul to his classroom.

"I've only got five minutes before I have to be in Environmental Studies" I said

"Actually, you have the whole first period. I talked to Mrs. Hudson and told her I needed you for the period" Paul said, grabbing my hand and leading me over to his desk.
