Paul's P.O.V

When I woke up in the morning, Marnie was still sleeping. I didn't even bother getting out of bed. I laid on my side and admired her. She's so beautiful. I love her so much. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her. I wanted to marry her soon but I don't want her to feel pressured into marriage so quickly.

"Paul! I'm home!"

Shit, I forgot all about Jane. I guess now is the time to call things off with her. Marnie's eyes fluttered open and she looked up at me.

"Paul, what's going on?" she asked quietly.

"Jane's home" I said. Marnie's eyes widened and she sat up.

"What are we going to do?" she asked.

"You stay here, and I'll go talk to her" I said. Marnie nodded. I kissed her forehead before getting off the bed. I dressed myself and went down to meet Jane.

"There you are. I was about to go up and look for you" Jane said

"Jane, we need to talk" I said

"About what?" she asked.

"Us" I said. She crossed her arms over her chest.

"Go on then. What is it you need to say?" Jane said.

"I think we should call off our engagement" I said. Jane glared at me.

"What?" she asked through gritted teeth.

"We're over Jane" I said. She was silent for a moment before speaking.

"Who is she?"

"Excuse me?" I asked

"There's obviously another girl. Tell
me her name Paul" Jane said

"Maybe I'm ending things with you because I don't feel it's working out between us" I said.

"Don't give me that shit. I know it's because there's another girl. Who is she?" Jane demanded

"That is none of your business!" I said

"Is it the little slut that comes over for piano lessons?" Jane said

"She is not a slut!" I said. Jane let a smirk show.

"It must be her if you're defending her. I bet she's upstairs right now. You fucked her last night, didn't you?" Jane said.

"Jane, let it go!" I said. She ignored me and started inching her way towards the stairs.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"If that slut is in your bedroom, you're in big trouble" Jane said angrily. She started marching up the stairs.

Marnie's P.O.V

I had been listening to Paul and Jane's conversation with my ear pressed up against the door. My heart started racing when I heard footsteps approaching the bedroom.
