What is love? (Natsu x Reader)

Chapter 1

~Day one~

-Your POV-

Its been a while since I've been back in Fiore. I grew up here, but when I was in 7th grade my family moved away only to be right back where we started 3 years later.  Even though I tried to keep in touch with all of my friends after the move, eventually we lost touch and talked less and less. Today would be my first day back and also my first day at Fairy Tail High, so naturally I was nervous.

Levy McGarden was one of my childhood best friends and also my neighbor, last night I stopped by her house and we talked for hours. She caught me up on the latest drama and I told her of my travels. Since its been so long, Levy agreed to walk to school with me and show me around.

I didn't want to keep Levy waiting so I quickly got dressed in my uniform, ate breakfast, and met her in my front yard.

"Ready for your first day (y/n)?" My short bluenette of a friend asked as I trembled down the stairs.

"You mean my funeral? Might as well get it over with... The first day is always the hardest, right?" I sighed looking towards the building.

Fairy Tail High was only a few blocks away but was an extremely tall building that could been seen from my house. Levy and I walked as she told me about what happened with Erza, Jellal, Gray, Gajeel, Lucy, and Juvia while I was gone and mentioned someone who I couldn't quit remember.

"Nats-who?" I asked with curiosity.

"Natsu." Levy said correcting me. "You don't remember him?"

I shook my no not recalling anyone of that name.

"Hm... Wait, I think he may have moved here around the time when you moved away... Either way, I'm sure you'll like him."

Just as she finished her sentence, we walked into FTH (Fairy Tail High) and were greeted by my old friends.

"Hey shrimp" A tall, muscular guy had said as he wrapped his arms around  Levy.

"Gajeel I thought I told you not to call me that..." She said quietly while she tried to hide her blush.

I never would've thought that Gajeel and Levy would've ended up together, but they're a cute couple.

"Hey Lev, uh, you're being followed by someone..." He whispered to Levy while looking at me.

She elbowed his side trying to get him to let go. "Gajeel you remember (y/n) right??"

"Oh shit, (y/n)?!? When did you get back???"

Right before I could answer, our attention was turned towards the group that was yelling as they walked down the hall in our direction.

"Forget it! I don't wanna talk about it! What's done is done, its over. So drop it, will ya?!"

I focused on the new conversation that had everyones attention.

"Natsu I know you're upset, but it's not worth getting upset about!! I know she was your girlfriend but we tried to tell you about her before you asked her out!!" And with that, the boy I assumed was Natsu had stormed off into the gym and the group following stopped to talk to Levy and Gajeel.

"Was it Lisanna again?" Levy asked with a tired expression, obviously this wasn't the first time this has happened.

"Who else would it be..." A red headed girl said rolling her eyes.

"He caught her with Bickslow, which I guess was the last straw and he broke it off with her." Another boy with dark hair informed us.

"Hey Lev, um, whose this..?" A blonde-haired girl asked.

"Lucy, Erza, Gray, you remember (y/n) don't you?"

After that we all talked and caught up with what we had missed. I told them about what it was like in the old town, about some new friends I had made, and they mentioned this 'Natsu' guy again.

"Was that him...? The one who ran off?" Gray nodded confirming my thoughts

Huh, so thats the mysterious 'Natsu' I've heard so much about...
