I'm in agony. Agony over the fact Karma drunkenly kissed me, in agony over the fact that I've called Liam four times and he hasn't answered, and in agony about—

Well, you don't need to know everything!

Shane comes over early before school to help me deal with my Karma issue. She's sleeping on my floor.

"Well, hasn't Karma admitted she has feelings for you?"

"Yes, but when it come to us romantically, I don't know if I can believe her."

"Because kissing you for attention is what she's known for?"

I made a face at him. "When she kissed me no one was watching... it was the best kiss we've ever had."

"Well, I have an idea. Why don't we just ask Karma?"

Shane throws a pillow at her head and she jilts awake. So Karma remembers showing her nips, the soccer team doing shots off her, and dancing on a table. But nothing about kissing me in the pool. Peachy. Maybe it's for the best that she doesn't remember.

Lauren and I quickly finish cleaning before our parents get home. The party got a bit out of hand last night. I completely blame the party on Lauren. Why? If she wasn't so desperate to get laid, none of this would've happened! Farrah and Bruce get home to announce that they're getting a divorce. Lauren thinks this is her ticket back to Dallas, because evidently her life is shit here in Austin. I try to convince her to stay on the way to school, but ultimately it's up to her. I leave her with her thoughts and go to look for Liam in school. He's dodging me and I really need to talk to him. When I found him, he was talking to Karma. Shit. When I start to walk towards them, he notices me and walks away.

"Liam! Ugh."

"I know what you're thinking and you're totally right."

I turn to Karma, "What are you talking about?"

"I am the worst best friend ever. You were there for me when I was spinning out and I go and do the worst thing I could possibly do. I had no business kissing you drunk. I wish I could take it back! I don't know what I was thinking!"

"Are you kidding me? Aren't you the same girl who said she had feelings for me?!? Was that a lie?"

"No. I—I just, I'm not ready."

"You know what Karma? I don't think you'll ever be ready. I'm sick of being used by you! Done."

I walked away from her in a tiffy.

After school, I decide to visit an old friend for advice. Reagan. So, I guess Reagan has definitely moved on. She has a new girlfriend. Heather something. They're living together... that was also quick.

"It's Karma isn't it?"

I nodded and she let me in.

Reagan gave me good advice. I just don't know if I'm brave enough to take it.

After my talk with Reagan, I head back home to pack. I need... I have to get away. At least for the summer.

"Where are you going?!?"

I sighed and turned around to see Karma looking mad as hell.

"I'm leaving for the summer."

"Without telling me? Amy we're best friends!"

"Yes we are! That's all we'll ever be!"

She scoffs, "Okay wait, that's why you're leaving? You're mad because I'm not ready for that kind of relationship?"

"No Karma, I'm leaving for a lot of reasons, but yes one of the reasons is because I'm sick of being dragged around by you! You say you have feelings for me, but you won't do anything about it! It's just words with you, never any action! It's bullshit Karma!'

"I'm sorry Amy! Okay?!? What do you want me to do?!?"

I shook my head, "Nothing Karma. Absolutely nothing. My choice has been clear for awhile now."

Amy!" She yelled as her voice trembled.

"Goodbye Karma." I said as I walked away leaving her in my room alone.

I was originally going to go on tour with Pussy Explosion, but there was something I needed to do first. I knocked on Shane's door and waited for an answer. It was Shane who answered the door.

"Amy? Hey."

"Hey, is Liam here? I need to talk to him."

"Are you two going to finally admit your true love for each other?"

I made a face as Liam walked up. He looked less than enthused to see me at the door.

Shane gave us both a look before leaving us alone.

"Umm, I've tried calling you a few times."

A lot of times...

"Well, I'm technically homeless so, it's getting harder to keep up with my phone bill."

"Oh."

Please, your phone still on.

"I'm leaving for the summer."

That seem to have gotten his attention.

"Really? To go where?"

"On tour... with a band."

"Karma going with you?"

"Why would Karma go with me? She would hate it."

He shrugged, "Just thought you'd take your girlfriend."

I roll my eyes, "Liam? Just because Karma kissed me in the pool, doesn't mean we're together. You would've known that if you didn't ignore my calls."

"Oh, well have a good summer Amy."

As he's about to shut the door I blurt out, "Ask me to stay!"

He opens it back up, "What?"

"Ask me to stay, and I'll stay."

"Amy—

"I'm serious Liam. Do you wanna be with me?"

"Do you wanna be with me?"

"I asked you first." I said with a smile.

He smiled back, "Seriously?"

I nodded.

"Yes. But I just... I feel like Karma will always come first. I'm over her, I just don't think you are."

"Honestly, I've been in love with Karma a lot longer than you, and I know her best. She may have feelings for me, but she'll never act on them. I'll never force that relationship to happen. If anything I would love for our friendship to stay intact. And... for her to be the godmother of our child."

He squinted, "Say what?"

"I went to the doctor for a check-up. It was a false negative. I am pregnant."

"I'm I don't—

"I tried to tell you yesterday, but you were dodging my calls. And the party definitely wasn't the right time."

"Amy, I'm so sorry. I didn't know—

"Liam, it's okay. You were upset with me. I'm still in the early stages so—

He grabbed me suddenly and pulled me into a hug. This hug later turned into a kiss.

When we pulled away he cuffed my face with his hands, "Hey Amy?"

"Hmm?"

"Stay."

I smiled, "And there goes the magic words."

We kissed again as he picked me up and took me into the house.
