RITIKA'S POV
Everything was so silent except the low breath. I couldn't remember what happened, only the painful reaction on Abeeg's face. Abeeg. Shit where was I ?. When I opened my eyes I faced the horrified seen again. The white wall was devouring me. With scary silent. I hated this feeling to wake up like this. Finally saw the seen that became a routine for me now. Shan was sitting beside me grabbing his head.
"Don't worry, I'm still alive." I whispered making his face disgust. OK I shouldn't say it, I thought. In reply he just exhaled loudly.
"Why do you scare us like this? It's Not fair, Ritika. It's not fair... At least Just think about the people who loves you. " love.... That reminded me another thing. Another terrible thing.
"Calm down. I'm fine." I whispered in reply he just became silent.
"What about... Umm... Ummm...?" I started my line after some struggle but couldn't finish, before Shan lowered his head and said "about Abeeg?... I don't know where he is. He left the hospital after he have heard the truth. He didn't say anything."
I gripped the bed sheet tightly. An unknown fear was consuming me. Then the door opened and Suhana Auntie entered the room. She smiled seeing me. But that was not as usual.
"How are you feeling, sweety?" She kissed my forehead after walking toward me. Then helped me to sit by resting my back comfortably.
"As fine as horse." I tried to joke along but I thought that didn't approved well by Shan. He stood and walked out shutting the door behind him loudly.
"It's OK. He was just tensed. Everyone was." A hidden pain was there when she told it. And became busy about checking me. I had to be patience whole time. But when she finally finished her work. I couldn't wait anymore.
"Auntie, where is everyone?" She pushed the injection and I winced a little. Rubbing the place she finally said, "if you are asking about my son, then he is in garden with your father." She caressed my face when I didn't say anything further. "He is a strong guy. Will be fine for sure."
"I'm sorry." I mumbled.
"Don't say like this. If anyone was selfish here then it was me. I was selfish. I could exactly see the change in him and absolutely knew it was for you. But.... But I just wanted my child. And always remained silent."
I looked at the woman who was a great mother no matter what. Abeeg was so lucky. "Auntie it was not your fault."
She looked at me and genuinely smiled this time. "May be, because it wouldn't affect him. We can't stop anyone from loving someone. Can we?"
"B..but I...I... D...don't....... I don't l...love....."
"Shh...... Don't say that line which may be not true. And trust me that thing also can't
Stop him."
Then the door opened again and Abbu entered the room. Just a few second later Abeeg followed him but.... But he was pale, miserable seems like the blood drained from his face. Read eyes. Was he crying? The thought made me ache more than I thought it could. Though he was not looking at me. In fact he was not looking anywhere. Just the ground. Was he afraid to see me? May be.....
"So finally. I thought I have to spend the night in hospital too. You know the canteen's food. It's terrible." I laughed at Abbu because I knew he didn't mean it especially the food. In fact he loved it. Doctors are really unhygienic people.
But before I replied anything he slipped his arm around me, and only then I realized his shaking. "I'm fine,.... I'm fine. Calm down Abbu." I was patting his hopping to give some comfort. Allah knew how many times I had to say it now. When he released me the glittering eyes couldn't escape from me. He wiped his corner of eyes.
