: : chapter 11 : :
Song of the chapter is Story Of My Life by One DIrection. DID YOU PEOPLE SEE THE MUSIC VIDEO? DID YOU GUYS GET CONFUSED ABOUT YOUR FAV BOY TOO, NOW? DID YOU PEOPLE CRY OR ALMOST CRY? DID YOU FANGIRL REAL HARD? THOSE GUYS ARE SO FUCKING PERFECT IT IS NOT EVEN FUNNY. LIKE WTGYZX imma die of the immense love I feel for those guys, if they keep this up. Finally there's a song that not about partying, sex, drugs and such mainstream ideas. It's a lot about their love for their family-which is made obvious by the music video- even though it's got a little mention about their individual love lives. Okay if I don't stop ranting about how much I love them and everything related to them, I'll never stop. So I'm off. Okay bye.

To say that Zac was stunned would be an understatement. He was more than stunned. Whatever had gone down between him and Ashley that evening surprised-and shocked- him endlessly. It wasn't how he had wanted things to be between the brunette and himself.
Zac had planned to persuade Ashley to talk to him in private, when he would explain everything to her; the reasons, the cause, everything. Things would have taken a turn for the better and Ashley and Zac could have possibly been on their way to becoming friends again.
However, things don't always go according to plan, like in Zac's case.
His plan had gone for a toss and instead of ending up as friends with Ashley, Zac ended up with a wounded ego, a bruised cheek and immense anger and embarrassment.
Of all the people present in the room, nobody was brave enough to even let out a squeak; everybody knew of Zac's anger and how uncontrollable it could get. Nobody was brave enough, except for the three people who knew him since his pre-NBA days- probably the only people whom Zac might consider listening to. They were Sean, Sameer and Gabriella.
Gabriella took a step towards the infuriated man. "Zac?"
"What?" he grunted as he threw her a glance.
"Are you alright?"
He grunted again- he was surprised at how Ashley's slap had robbed him of the ability to structure coherent sentences.
"We're not sure what that meant?" Sameer piped up.
"Forget it," Zac muttered as an extremely disgruntled expression came over his face.
"So . . . are you coming to the after-party?" Sean asked.
"No," Zac snapped before storming out of the room and slamming the door behind him.

Ashley sat in a daze on the ride home. She had managed to hail a cab and tell him her address, but that's it. All she could think of on her way back home was to do with whatever had happened in the evening.
She couldn't believe she had slapped someone.
In front of a crowd.
Someone, that happened to be her ex-boyfriend.
Someone, that happened to be an international NBA star, much loved by many, but despised by Ashley O'Connor.
Sunday came and went without much ado. The newspapers spoke about the Lakers in all of their glory. So did the radio channels, news channels, sports channels, NBA fans, everybody. Ashley stayed holed up in her apartment, sticking to the usual Sunday chores.
The previous weekend, she had shopped for a fortnight and was extremely thankful about that. She was not exactly very enthusiastic about stepping out of her safe-hole numerous times.
