Here's a sneak-peek into what's coming up in The Coffee Connection.

Squinting, Zac turned to look out of the window. Due to the dim lighting in the parking, Zac couldn't exactly figure anything out through the window. Taking a bite of the chocolate bar anyway, Zac rolled the window and was shocked on realizing exactly who was rapping on his window.

The cops.

"Sir, we need you to get out of the car for a routine check," one of the uniformed men spoke.

Zac blinked, suddenly feeling unfocused. "Wh- what did I do?"

"It's just routine sir," the same cop repeated.

"Okay," Zac said doubtfully as he stepped out of the car, trying his best to keep his balance.

Ben, the cop who spoke to Zac waited with a solemn expression on his face, his posture rigid and similar to that of his fellow cop.

"Mr. Bradford, we need to have a look at your driving licence and registration," Nathan, the second cop, spoke up. At least, that's what Zac thought his name was; he wasn't quite able to read right . . .

Zac's gaze travelled to the police car parked a little distance away. He retrieved the licence as well as the registration from his wallet and wordlessly handed them to Nathan before proceeding to carefully eye the bright red and blue lights blinking at the top of the cops' vehicle.

He nearly jumped out of his skin at the first cop, Ben, took a step closer to him.

"Sir, you reek of alcohol, your eyes are bloodshot, and you're looking alarmingly out of focus; exactly how much have you had to drink?"

Zac shrugged. "Not sure, but let me assure you that my vision is perfectly alright and I'm able to drive without any issues," he all but slurred; he couldn't afford to get arrested. It didn't help that the two cops looked like they meant business, no nonsense.

Nathan exhaled loudly. "I'm sorry, sir, but we are going to have to charge you for DUI."

"You have to be arrested, sir, it's the law," Ken added.

Zac gaped at them. "You can't be serious . . ."
